It had been slowly draining and no snake device or gel clinging agent was working for me. When I had the radio on the other day cruising down the highway, I heard an offer from Kenzie Plumbing. I had seen one of their trucks around, but didn't realize they have already been in business for 10+ years. I made a call on 3.24.2025 and received amazing same day service even though it was not an emergency. A nice young man whose name I cannot recall was courteous and cleaned up when he was done - better than any plumber I've ever hired before! He completed the task in under a half hour. All of my agreements were signed on his mobile phone which made the process seamless and quicker. I paid cash which totaled under $48. Without the promo which I mentioned on the phone, my cost would have been over $147. Thanks, Kenzie - and when my water heater gives out someday I'll definitely call you guys first.

They are truly a business worth the "Five Star Services" title in their name. Their 30+ years of service also extends into remodels and new construction. While they are based out of Hobbs, NM, they are licensed in both New Mexico and Texas. Back on March 1, 2023, I had a bit of a scare at the house I have been renovating for myself and my two young daughters. The crew working on my fence alerted me that my gas meter located in the alley where I rarely go was leaking natural gas and hissing. Immediately I called the gas company to shut it off and have a technician make possible repairs on their side. Meanwhile on the phone with the gas company, I checked the closet where my waters heater and furnace were located. As soon as I opened the door the natural gas scent wafted into my nostrils. I was mortified. While waiting for additional recommendations from my friends on Facebook, I started calling all the local companies I could think of. Because it was late morning, I thought someone would surely be able to swing by. The plumbers I called either didn't pick up, didn't do work on gas lines, or told me they couldn't make it until the following day. A nice man with Roto Rooters soon called me back and gave me MTI as a good local rec. I was so thankful and owe him a special shoutout, but as I write I have had no issues with the work MTI provided. No more leaks AND my water heater plumbing is now up to code whereas before it was not (I was informed of this during my home inspection - just didn't think it would be this soon that I would rectify that situation - LOL). When I called MTI, the nice lady on the other end of the line almost immediately answered my call and had the owner come over within an hour or so to check everything out. He was very thorough. From the beginning to the end of this project, there were no surprises and I was informed of what was going on the whole time. The only thing I didn't like was waiting for the inspector to approve MTI's work so my gas could eventually be turned back on, but I can't count against them for that because he's a city employee. The project was completed by March 9 with my gas back on approved by said inspector the following day. It turned out to be a bit of an ordeal with a tab of nearly $3,000 mainly because the line had to be dug out of the ground and replaced, but now my peace of mind is at ease and I feel much relief bringing my children and our pets and the rest of my family into this home now. Thanks, owner Mark Smith & employee Justin, for your speedy work & thorough explanations for me - the ol' worry wart. And thanks for always picking up the phone when I called. It was a tremendous learning experience not to mention a blessing that this happened while we were not living there just yet. Basically all forms of payment are accepted... cash, checks, and credit cards. I posted a photo of their business card. On another note, I love their patriotism and love for our country. Highly recommended!

A leaky tub faucet that had a relatively fast drip for who knows how long as it was my daughters' bathroom... The second was a slow leaking toilet ($78 for repair). To lesser issues... my kitchen faucet was going out on me. So I purchased a new one and had them install (fee = $288) it for me. I just wish they didn't make it to where the lines get hung up when I pull the retractable sprayer to use it. The last item I was not charged for... two loose bathroom faucets. Leah, the receptionist was very friendly. I called and left her a message around midday on April 10, 2026 and she returned my call right back. It wasn't an emergency so we scheduled the job for the following Monday. The boss, Alex, called me that morning of April 13. Arrived on time. Listened to all my issues. They started at around 9 am and finished at around 11:30 am the same day. The main setback was the leaky tub faucet. They went to Home Depot to replace that part (overall $225 to fix). Pay by credit card was easy as they have tablets to use on the job site. I was promptly emailed a detailed receipt too. No more tub faucet leak. No more loose faucets. No more toilet randomly filling up in the middle night (as I am a light sleeper). And a fantastically powerful kitchen sink faucet I have been wanting for literally years. Also, they didn't ask me if I wanted to keep the old faucet or the box that the new one came in... they just up and took it away! Lol. I know some old-timers that would NOT like that. On a similar note, they cleaned up the spaces as best as they could and replaced all of my items under the kitchen sink. I reorganized, but hey - it was the thought that counted. Appreciate that! I'm a fan!

The most recent review for Caprock Air Conditioning & Heating was over 6 years ago…read more This Hobbs, New Mexico-based business provided quick service to my house (actually my brother's) back in October 2022 for our air conditioning unit. I was the adult on the premises to speak with the technician about our issue at the time. The nice young man who worked on the unit inside and out of the house was extremely respectful, knowledgable, and candid with his explanation of the services he performed. At my other brother's house, the furnace started puttering out in mid-February 2023. His wife's cousin and the company he worked for tried some half-effort work, not repairing the issue at all. We suggested Caprock. That issue has been resolved since Caprock's repairs. In both instances a technician was available at each house within a day. Repairs took less than an hour. I've heard no complaints about the costs. Lol. For my own house which should be ready for move-in a couple months from now, I'll have this company on speed dial should any issues arise.

This review for Lea County Concrete of New Mexico Ready Mix is long overdue…read more My concrete guy hired a truckload of ready mix to pour into the long strip of driveway parking I wanted done. On Saturday, August 24, 2024, a large concrete truck arrived shortly after 6AM and backed in nicely onto the would-be driveway. It was a thing of beauty to watch him slowly pull away as the blobs of grey mixture piled onto the fresh earth. It all happened in a matter of just a few minutes too! Sorry, neighbors, for the annoying beeping reverse and big rig noise! Lol. Seven yards set me back $1,216.95. I paid cash on delivery. The truck driver was very respectful and friendly. He spoke English & Spanish. They currently have over 20 trucks and deliver concrete, sand, and gravel to commercial and residential sites. They also have an office in Roswell. After tonight's thunderstorms, several vehicles parked on it, and kids riding their bikes & scooters on it, I'm still so happy with it. I'd hire this family-owned business again in a heartbeat.
