Frequent breaks, leaves job site at will, charges for whole day. Charges for bulk package, keeps unused items. Damage to property due to negligence and incompetence. Arrogant, low knowledge, low skill, charges for mistakes. No supervision, no organization, no coordination, no professionalism. Messy, no clean up, leaves trash. Combative with other contractors. Things mysteriously disappear. Racist, rude, argumentative, and threatening. The way it works: after the first or second visit, after everything is taken apart - prepare to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. After the anxiety and frustration sets in, you will come to realize you have no leverage, and have to beg on bended knee for anything to get done. An impending visit from family over the holidays plus my past experiene in dealing with Kerry Manis, a plumber with Roto-Rooter in Hobbs, yielded me to reach out for his services. I didn't realize what time it was on 12/21/2023 because I had already been awake for three hours, however, it was only 7:49AM when Mr. Manis immediatelty answered my call. When he asked me if it was an emergency, it was then that I realized it was still kind of early. I felt like a jerk. Of course it wasn't an emergency because we had another working bathroom and my daughters were at school. I explained I would like to have it fixed as soon as possible. He said he would give me a call when he was able to come by as he had other calls to tend to. He made it by 1PM with a 15-minute heads up and was out within an hour. The bill came out to about $145. This included tax, 2 wax rings at $5.17 apiece, and labor which was $125 for one hour. He was very cordial throughout the process. Worked quickly. Kept me apprised of what was going on. Wasn't nosy. The wax was a bit of a mess when he left, but it was easy to mop up with Clorox wipes - plus no more leaks on my new flooring! I know for a fact he, er Roto Rooters, doesn't do bigger jobs with gas heaters and gas lines - at least not in the capacity that I needed him. I called him in a panick a little less than a year ago about a gas leak in which he gave me a referral. I was ever grateful for his assistance. That's why I called on Mr. Manis for this job instead of waiting on yet another round of non-plumber expertise... as much as I love my friends they are certainly not plumbers. Lol. Recently I heard a quote that sums up my thoughts on AI (artificial intelligence) versus these types of hands-on jobs: "I don't think you're going to see the robot plumber anytime soon." ~ Mike Rowe on The Morning Wire podcast (12/28/2023). Daniel answered the phone and was able to make it out to our home in a timely manner. I chatted with him and he told me that he took this business over from his father and has been doing it for 16 years. The broken pipe was under our manufactured home and he quoted me a decent price that was not super expensive. After he fixed this pipe, he said that it may take about an hour for the adhesive to dry because it was still pretty cold outside and that he had to go to another job. He said that he'd check back with me in about an hour and he did so. I then turned the water back on and the pressure was good. After I let him know everything was good, I received a phone call from his office and they took my credit card payment over the phone. I highly recommend him for plumbing issues.

I needed help unclogging a backed up toilet in a single-bath home. This company was able to provide…read moresame day service (around 6pm) but it seemed like the plumber had many other jobs to do after mine. At first I thought the work that was done good, but it was very fast. I was also unsure why the company shown on the truck parked outside was different than what's advertised here on Yelp as JPro. Either way, after the drain was snaked there was still a strong odor of sewage throughout the house several days after the work was done. Out of concern for safety, I reached back out to ask if the piping could be reevaluated for structural damage, especially since my mother who is older and was recently discharged from the hospital lives in the home. I also researched that if the cap is improperly seated on the vent on the roof, the odor can be recirculated through the home. I communicated this to the plumber. To date, no one has returned to evaluate for damages and I received little to no response from the plumber that visited the home initially. I don't know if this is the standard response, but it's unfortunate that the work was potentially rushed and improperly completed. I am also unsure if the work is insured, but I'd recommend to make sure to ask about all of these details if you choose to let JPro service your home.

It had been slowly draining and no snake device or gel clinging agent was working for me. When I had the radio on the other day cruising down the highway, I heard an offer from Kenzie Plumbing. I had seen one of their trucks around, but didn't realize they have already been in business for 10+ years. I made a call on 3.24.2025 and received amazing same day service even though it was not an emergency. A nice young man whose name I cannot recall was courteous and cleaned up when he was done - better than any plumber I've ever hired before! He completed the task in under a half hour. All of my agreements were signed on his mobile phone which made the process seamless and quicker. I paid cash which totaled under $48. Without the promo which I mentioned on the phone, my cost would have been over $147. Thanks, Kenzie - and when my water heater gives out someday I'll definitely call you guys first.
