I don't know maybe its that people have to realize that doctors and the staff are just like us. Human !! If you are uncomfortable find another doctor don't go through with the procedure , however maybe you should treat people the way you want to be treated with respect.

The doctor created stress and concern from the doubts behind what they thought the problems were. I was not even evaluated, and my appointment lasted less than 15 minutes. After being rushed into receiving an mri, it seemed to be my problem after waiting a week for its authorization according to the doctor. My new orthopedist told me everything in my MRI was standard, and non surgical treatment was required. HBVJ told me I would need surgery after a ten minute visit, and then tried doubling down on it after seeing the results of the mri. I understand there are difference in opinions amongst doctors. My frustration is how the doctor went about handling my situation. It seemed the doctor acted vindictive once questions began to be asked, and came off as unprofessional. I would not feel comfortable coming back.

Check in was typical but well automated and the front desk staff was refreshingly upbeat. Was referred to Dr. Bergstein by my primary, and both he & Dr. Bergstein are triathletes and extremely health conscious. After two weeks of treating my sinus infection with steroids and antibiotics and other sinus related stuff with limited success, we did a camera journey up my snoz to my tonsils. Everything but Raquel Welch (old movie reference)...sorry. Really friendly, focused and took his time for a full background and thorough evaluation. His decision was to treat from the stomach up rather than sinus down, and couple that with my nasal allergy spray. Massive improvement three days in. Grateful for the relief. Thankful for a great medical experience!

I made an appointment 3/31 for an ear infection. I was brought in for a hearing test which I did…read morenot ask for but was given anyway. After that I was brought in to see a physician's assistant who I explained the issue to but did not look at the ear. The doctor who was helpful tried the usual techniques to remove the wax but needed a tool to scrape the extra hard wax from the ear. I paid the deductible in the office and it's 30.00 for all services. I then received a bill for a hearing test which never asked for or requested looking for additional co-payment. I called the billing and told them it was never explained that there was additional charge and that I wanted it removed but they told me a supervisor would call me back. The bottom line is watch your bills this place is a factory for sure and very busy. This kind of move is very shady, and I don't like being charged for something I didn't need or ask for.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the orthotics for my left foot. I received the initial pair in August 2014, and had to come back to Dr. Peters roughly five or six times over the subsequent nine months. I certainly wished the troubles I had were not so time-consuming, but what was appreciated was that despite this, Dr. Peters spent the extra time and worked on adjustments to ensure I was comfortable. Further, he agreed not to charge me any co-pays, and as the calendar year changed (and my insurance deductible kicked in), Dr. Peters agreed not to charge me at all for the final few appointments. He was committed to making sure the orthotics worked for me, even without earning additional fees for the added services. I am appreciative of the high level of care Dr. Peters continues to provide even though, at this point, the economics for him and his office are unfavorable. The extra care goes a long way, and I am happy to share this experience with the community since I know we often complain about patient care elsewhere.

The PT at HSS treats you individually for 30 minutes and is prompt and on time. At ONS My appt was 10:30 and I didn't see the PT for 20 minutes and I just sat there with a hot towel around my ankle. I kept asking where the PT was and they said she would be over shortly. She spent 10 minutes with me and gave me off to her assistant. When I asked what was the 4th exercise I did on my initial visit she said I have 24 patients and I don't know. I canceled all my other appointments and I'll return to HSS where I can get all my care by a PT. I know this is owned by a venture capitalist and the care is not great and rushed. I suggest you use HSS PT and not here!!!!

I figured they see the results of the surgery which put them in the driver's seat. I wound up requiring rotator cuff surgery. Had the surgery on a Wednesday and that Friday I was on the table getting tortured.....not really having been through the process in the past I was familiar with what to expect. The staff was great, from the front desk to the therapists. They did everything with the insurance company and kept the surgeon in the loop. In conversation with other people they were surprised that I started therapy so soon after my surgery. The first couple of visits were a little painful but with the guidance of the staff I was able to push through. Fast forward after my insurance cut me off I was thankful that they supplied me with a print out of the exercises which enabled me to maintain my progress. I was impressed with Profesional that I referred everyone that was looking for a physical therapist

What triggered me to do this is simple, I arrived at the Doctors appointment 25 minuted late, it was out of my control. I waited almost a month to get this appointment and I was turned away directly by Dr. Daniel Markowitz. I had been calling every week in pain trying to get a closer date to see Dr. Markowitz. I had been to White Plains Physician Associates numerous times, for different body part issues and I always had to wait 30-45 minutes to see the Dr. When you visit a Dr. office you are never seen on time but you must always wait your turn regardless of how late the Dr. is running. When you are late they should also consider that, you are not there for fun you are there because there is a problem with your health. I left very upset but composed, I demanded all my medical records and history, now I will start looking for another team of Orthopedic Doctors to take care of my health. I will NEVER go back to WP Hospital Physician Associates because of their lack of caring, their lack of consideration and in fact I recommend that Doctors like Daniel Markowitz be sanctioned by the Medical Association. My daughter will be Doctor next year, I can guarantee you that she will never turn a patient in pain away. Doctor should be held at a higher standard because lives depend on them. When a Doctor feels he can turn away patients he should retire. This was unprofessional and irresponsible for Dr. Daniel Markowitz and the WP Hospital Physicians Associates located at 222 Westchester Ave in West Harrison with offices at 1296 North Ave, in New Rochelle.

I ordinarily do not write reviews, however, based upon my most recent experience with Dr. Cushner…read moreand/or his office, I feel that it is incumbent upon me to do so. I started seeing Dr. Cushner about 8 years ago for various knee and shoulder pain and other issues. At that point, I was able to get an appointment without much difficulty. As time went on, I made sure to schedule the earliest appointment available as the wait time upon my arrival kept getting longer and longer (many times, over an hour). At one point, about 4 years ago, when I was supposedly his first appointment of the day, I waited for an over an hour in his waiting and exam rooms. When I complained to him about the wait time and that I was supposedly his first appointment of the day, he arrogantly indicated, that if I did not like it, I should go elsewhere, which I did. Fast forward to this week. As indicated above, I started seeing another orthopedist at Westmed, who was great. When I called for an appointment with her, I was informed that she had left the practice. So, I bit the bullet and made an appointment with Dr. Cushner. When I arrived, his waiting room was literally so overcrowded that people were waiting in the hall. After waiting for close to 30 minutes, somebody came out and indicated to all present, that there would be over an hour's wait. I promptly got up and left. So, if you have nothing to do with your time and want to be seen by an arrogant and self-important doctor, make an appointment with Dr. Cushner. Otherwise see somebody else.
