Billing had promised that they would cancel it and did not and now blames Radiology. Radiology is once again saying the ball is in Billings court. The Orthopedics staff is a total waste of time to speak with. The unaccountability throughout groups is astounding- the named groups just blame each other- say they will call back- and do not. Deeply regret seeing a Doctor in this practice.

I was having unbearable pain in my elbow to the point I couldn't rest comfortably. The same thing happened three years ago, and I went to another doctor who gave me a cortisone shot and some Vicodin and sent me home. Yeah, I felt no pain but it didn't solve the problem. Luckily this time I had the fortune of meeting with Dr William Levine in the Tarrytown office of Columbia Orthopaedics. He did a thorough exam and asked correct questions regarding my medical history. His conclusion was that I was having an acute gout attack. He prescribed correct meds and by that evening I was already able to make myself comfortable enough to sleep. By the next morning I was 75-85% better (arm movement and pain). Today is still less than 48 hours after and I'm probably 95% better with 0 pain. He called me personally the next morning to check how I was. A nice touch I'm not used to. I should discuss the office as well. So coordinated and you can tell they all work together as a team. No one passed the buck. It was easy to see they did what they had to do to keep things moving. Keeping in mind, everyone comes in there in pain and/or with some type of story. Very impressive. Highly recommend the practice and this is coming from someone who's father and grandfather both practice(d) medicine.

Located in the JCC, these guys are located in a gym in the back with all the equipment you'd expect. Scheduling was pretty easy as while they get busy at time, there's never more than like 3 patients at a time. Never had an issue with any of the receptionist or staff in general; on the contrary, everyone was very friendly Shara and Katie are awesome. Easy to understand, very friendly and also very funny. The quirkiness definitely helps as there's no way around the exercises sucking to a degree, however even though they were smart and patient in how they changed things up over time so I could 'graduate'. Ended up being able to fix my issue without surgery in just a few weeks. Hope to never have to do PT again, but cannot recommend these guys more highly.

My appointment was made after a shoulder dislocation. The doctor created stress and concern from the doubts behind what they thought the problems were. I was not even evaluated, and my appointment lasted less than 15 minutes. After being rushed into receiving an mri, it seemed to be my problem after waiting a week for its authorization according to the doctor. My new orthopedist told me everything in my MRI was standard, and non surgical treatment was required. HBVJ told me I would need surgery after a ten minute visit, and then tried doubling down on it after seeing the results of the mri. I understand there are difference in opinions amongst doctors. My frustration is how the doctor went about handling my situation. It seemed the doctor acted vindictive once questions began to be asked, and came off as unprofessional. I would not feel comfortable coming back.
