This remains my all time favorite library in metro Atlanta. Of course I have fond memories of coming every weekend as a kid and spending hours here reading.... The place itself hasn't changed much...the librarians that I knew as a child have all long retired but the place is top notch shape. Big comfortable couches with lots of hidden nooks and crannies to hide and read all over the place. The place is pretty big but it doesn't feel big only because of the lay out. The book selection here has always been fantastic. Not only does it have a great fiction section filled with all your best sellers like Stephen King and Dan Brown but it has a pretty nice literary fiction section as well such as Jack London's short stories, Walt Whitman's poetry and Henry James. They also have a great philosophy section filled with works of Immanuel Kant and Rousseau (whose writings heavily influenced a Virginian lawyer named Thomas Jefferson) Of course with their interlibrary loan available you have access to thousands of books from the entire Atlanta Fulton County Library system as your disposal....all of it for just being a resident of Fulton County....it is socialism at it's best.... It's located in a quiet woodsy setting that is sort of an oasis from the hectic modern world...whether you fancy a new read and or just need some quiet time...you can't go wrong coming here....

It is maroon colored and stands on a single post. There is parking. The door is secured with a twist catch. Inside are two shelves of books that are well protected by from the elements. Today's selection was a little lean - only four books today - cookbooks and a young adult mystery. I would have added to it but we're at the tail end of my trip and I've already redistributed the books from my own library I am shrinking. This is charter number 44452 and it is titled "Mary Kelly" with the steward's email address in the listing. The online caption reads, "This is the second LFL in Roswell in memory of my daughter, Heather, who died from meningitis in 2014. The other one is on Roswell Town Square." This little gem is a popular LFL located at the entrance to Old Mill Park. I actually had a hard…read moretime finding this place because Google map lists the address as 95 Mill View Avenue. If you follow according to that address it will take you into a neighborhood where it dead ends. 1 Mill St. Roswell, GA 30075 is a better address to plug into your GPS. According to Little Free Library.org's website library was built by parents Jim and Nancy in honor of their daughter Heather who since has passed away. The library structure is a replica of the Roswell Mill and at one time it had the wheel in the back that turned. But that has long been lost or broke off...not sure which....When I visited the library it was jammed pack with books and there was actually a line of people waiting to either donate or take a book...so good to see that....it's a great addition to our humble neighborhood. Thanks Jim, Nancy and Heather....

Fulton County's North Service Center is where I came when I changed my car's North Carolina tag to…read morea Georgia tag. I had to turn in my NC tag here for my GA tag. My experience was good. I visited during my lunch break and was in and out in a matter of minutes. I had already filled out most of the necessary paperwork before I arrived. Vehicle registrations and tag issues are handled through the county's tax commissioner's office, motor vehicle division. When I showed up around lunchtime, there was hardly a wait. The lady who assisted me was polite and efficient. She had a stack of shiny, brand new GA tags at her desk, ready to hand out. I put mine on in the parking lot before I left. Remember to bring a screwdriver with you. My visit here was much more pleasant than my visits to Fulton County's main office on Pryor Street in downtown Atlanta. If it's not out of your way to come to this location and they offer the service(s) you are seeking, then I suggest coming here instead. It's just a nicer experience. Plus, the area is less trafficky and there's free parking unlike in downtown.

Yay Georgia Tags are in hand!…read more I had postponed this errand until my out of state tags expired (which is illegal as it was required within 30 days of our move) I did pay a nominal fine for my lateness. In my defense we moved to Georgia amidst the pandemic in March and all the tag agencies were closed. While I had come here from down town on a lunch outing, which took about an hour longer than expected, the socially distanced line was 2 mins. The only hiccup was that I needed to call my insurance agent on the phone to have my Georgia State insurance which I had done months ago show up electronically on their agency network which also took less than 5 minutes to resolve. All told I was happy with the quick service and it looked like everything was being done to process people securely.
