Roswell Bookbinding went above and beyond the call of duty to provide an excellent experience for me, which I will recount below. For many years, I wanted to have a personal copy of a cherished book rebound. These days most people don't have anything outside of bibles or childhood books rebound, though Christi from Roswell got back to me about my online inquiry extremely quickly with some great ideas and input. She sent me some samples in the mail (I currently live in West Virginia), and as soon as I felt the black Elmo leather and saw the red foil, I knew this was going to be an amazing book. They were very straightforward with the binding estimate and took careful efforts to ensure everything went according to plan. While there was a slight mishap during the title stamping process, they made it right and the finished product is an incredibly gorgeous book that I will most assuredly hold dear as one of my greatest possessions. If I should need a future rebinding or be asked for a recommendation, there is no one I would rather give business to than Roswell Bookbinding. This is a company to trust, who provided us excellent care and service after our moving company unfortunately destroyed the covers of 3 cherished books - our wedding album, a 1940s leather dictionary bound by my deceased artisan grandfather and irreplaceable, and finally a copy of my husband's family history. The two historical book covers were carefully cleaned to remove the stuck on original wedding album cover material. And then they beautifully recovered the wedding album with new gray leather and inside silk, plus stamped silver foil on the outside front cover & spine. Christi helped us go onto their shop floor to select the album's materials and was just wonderful to work with throughout! They even completed the work earlier than the original estimate. I just had my favorite (and very well worn) Bible recovered with them and I can't speak highly enough about my experience! Christi sat down with me, evaluated its condition and walked me through my options restore its condition. I then got to look at all of my options for the leather cover (there were so many!) as well as looking at options for embossing. More than anything, I appreciated how intentional their entire team was at preserving the margins and notes that are very special to me. What a great experience! Helpful hints: call and schedule a time to take in your treasure, and bring your checkbook or cash for a 50% deposit because no credit cards are accepted. And also plan on a 4 week turn-around. Roswell does great work. It's very difficult to find anyone who does binding any longer. I had a collection of old blues records that came in a book style sleeve. The binding had completely come apart. They repaired in a day. Yes it's expensive but one has to ask themselves how much is your time worth tracking someone who does this type of work and does it well. Trust me, I think there are two places in the valley. My Bible was falling apart! It is about 35 years old, but MUCH loved. I have many precious notes and passages underlined, and it is a Bible I want to pass down . I wasn't sure if it could be rebound and not lose it's integrity. I just picked it up from Roswell Bookbinding and I am SO pleased. My Bible is BEAUTIFUL !
