HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE customer service!!!! The customer service that I received at The Ross located on 1316 W Wade Hampton Blvd Ste C in Greer, S.C. was sooo bad that I can't give them 1 star, but the page won't allow me to submit unless I give a rating.
My experience at Ross on Wade Hampton:
I am standing in line waiting to purchase my items like every other customer and the cashier Shamilla McGill says, " Next customer!" I go up and place my items on the counter. She scans the items (there was no "Hello" or "Did you find what you needed today?"). After she scans them she tells me the total and I pay for the items. She gives me the change with no receipt and says, "Next customer!" (there was no "Have a Good Day!" or "Thank you for shopping with us"). I asked Shamilla for my receipt that is still on the receipt printer. She responds, "You can get it if you want it." At that point I'm confused so I respond, "No, I would like you to give me the receipt." Her response is still, " You can grab it if you want it." She proceeds to call the next customer up while I'm still standing there waiting to receive my receipt. I ask to speak with her manager and she responds nonchalantly, "No problem, you sure can." While waiting for the manager the customer who was behind me witnessed the transaction between Shamilla and myself and he ask her, " Are you serious, this lady is a customer and you are supposed to hand her the receipt." Shamilla responds, " This don't have nothing to do with you so go on with your day." This causes the other customer to become irate. Instead of apologizing to us or trying to de-escalate the situation, she continues to say extremely rude things. The manager on duty Emily Amos eventually arrives and ask what the problem was. I explained the situation and Shamilla continues to raise her voice and say rude remarks to me and the other customer, at one point during this situation she even questioned the other customer's manhood and called him a female. All of these things were said while the manager was standing there and with other customers witnessing this . The manager eventually told Shamilla to go to the back and take a break. I'm standing there confused thinking to myself, "Take a break?" (Smh) Quality customer service must not be a part of the training modules because it seems to not be a concern at this Ross on Wade Hampton Blvd. This is one of the reasons why alot of the retail stores are closing. My shopping experience at this store was horrible. After saying all of this I know the employees and management at Ross don't care, but I thought I would share my experience so that the consumers that shop at Ross would be aware of the type of service to expect at this location. Good Luck with them! read more
