I called right before closing with a quick question that was very important. They talked me into getting a larger size shoe and got them home and knew right away that they were going to be too big. I was just gonna ask them to put away the smaller size before I could even ask she just hung up the phone and then of course they don't have to answer anymore because now she left the phone on the hook for quite some time so I until it was closing Time so that they don't have to answer the phone if I call right back before they close. Yeah, the other reviews have largely summed up the issues with this Ross, but I figured I'd chime in with my experience. Other than the location being excellent, this store isn't even worth stopping into. It is messy, understocked, chaotic and not really a good bargain at all. We stopped in recently looking for some items for vacation. Walked to the menswear area and found the racks to be a variety of womenswear, children's clothing and some menswear thrown in. You literally had to sift through every hanger just to see if it was applicable. Of course, you could also take a look through all the items scattered all over the floor as well. There was no rhyme or reason as far as sizing was concerned, so if you found something you liked, well, odds are it wasn't your size. We did find a couple items, however, they were far more expensive than similar items we had found at Marshall's earlier. With other discount clothing stores in the area, this one is just not worth the hassle. read more

Black lady that does the fitting rooms in the back her name is agua she is absolutely rude and told me I am not allowed back into the fitting rooms or Ross because I did not follow procedures. I did everything I was supposed to do. And she said I did not do that so I'm not allowed back. I feel like it was because I wasn't quick in hanging up all the clothes in my hand but it was a lot of stuff and she kept snatching the clothes out my arm because I wasn't being quick. Worse experience in my life. I spoke with the manager and she said there's a lot people back there and she didn't know who I was talking about but I gave her the name of the woman and everything. Meh, the store was dirty. Merchandise was all over the floor. The line to check out was so long due to only 1 person working the customer service and regular check out. Finally another person came to help out, but there was no sense of urgency, so it still took a while. No friendliness from workers. While I was shopping a worker was putting large merchandise on the furniture display and knocked over other merchandise... I've never seen a worker with blatant disregard to their own merchandise... read more

Went into this location and it was a MESS! I slipped while carrying a large box and hurt my arm trying to catch myself and had to complain. I could not see their was anything on the ground because of the size of the box but you don't expect their to be things on the ground. The manager told me that customers get "disrespectful with the merchandise". I can understand that retail stores get messy but they have cameras and there was a security officer walking around who clearly could see all of the stuff thrown on the ground! read more

I couldn't help but wonder, for whatever reason, the middle eastern lady security guard were following my wife around from the door and store, staring at anything she picked. It's very rude. I'm afraid I have to give only one star. My daughter and I stopped here to shop recently and we only had about an hour. The store was messier than other Ross' I'd seen but we kept on browsing in the Jr's dept. Found a few things to try on, but when we made our way back to the fitting room they were closed! We were redirected to the front where a couple of makeshift temporary rooms had been set up. I understand construction and what not but Ross is primarily a clothing store and to have only two dressing stalls in the entire place was ridiculous. We waited awhile but ended up having to put everything on a rack and leave since the line was just too long. Hopefully these issues have been corrected, and if I venture out to try this location again and the problems have been resolved then I will update my review. read more

The customer service and lack of management here is horrible. Their dressing rooms are closed so they have two boxes in the middle of store with nobody to monitor them so people can take as much in as they want. One of the two boxes was taken by a woman trying on every dress in the store! Love the sith on the door that says "only 5 items please" what is that going to do when no one is monitoring it?! She opened the door and it was like a spring loaded trap! I ask to speak to a manager and ask what do you need. When I reply "to speak with a manager" I'm told "oh, she walked over to Aldi" sooooo you have enough employees to walk out of the store, but not enough to monitor dressing rooms... sorry, boxes. I watched them loose 4 customers because they didn't want to wait. Poor, poor, poor service all around. read more

I really like Ross. Never been to a location that I didn't like. Sure, it's a jumble. You're not at Sak's 5th Ave or even Kohl's, but you're not paying their prices either. My last visit, I got a really cute backpack purse for $16.99. It wasn't a designer name, but I've gotten several compliments on it. I almost splurged and got a Betsey Johnson for $24.99, but the other purse was a more versatile color, and I preferred the style. You can't beat it. Bargain either choice would've been. They also had a great Michael Kors for under $100.00, that I may come back for. Though, it's Ross. No guarantees on its still being in stock. I also bought a pair of Dear Foam house shoes on the cheap. Comfy. They also carry my favorite shampoo and conditioner. Birotera. It's under $6.00 here vs almost $20.00 everywhere else I find it. Great for really dry hair. 1 Their perfume deals are not to be missed. Just know what you want before you go. No testers. I like Couture, Couture, by Juicy Couture. A huge bottle here is $24.99. Go to a Macy's or Dillard's style counter and its around $80.00. I find cute undies for anywhere from $1.99, but you really have to look for those, to $6.99. Great bra and pj choices too. The Marilyn Monroe line is adorable, feminine, and you can often find matching sets Where else can you find a cute dress for around $10.00? Also, great shoes and boots. Even Converse for ladies under $30.00. They carry US Polo Club tennis shoes for $20.00. Not the most durable, but cute and comfy. They last me a year, and I only ever have one pair of tennis shoes at a time. They're my work shoes. I prefer sandles, heels and boots in my real life. My point is, check this place out. You can find all sorts of goodies. Deeply discounted Yankee Candles, gift sets, greats shirts and jeans. Hair, bath and body products. There's yummy treats, accessories, housewares, kids stuff, jackets. Those comfy fake fur throws. I really do think of this as a one stop shop to get everything I need to get comfy. Even my beloved old friend, the Turbie Twist Towel, was reunited with me on my last trip While I was in a long line, it is the holidays, and they opened a new register and kept us moving right along. Staff was friendly, though they have to be tired and stressed at this time of the year, they don't show it. A very infectious happy mood permeated throughout the store. Tip of hat, wink or the eye, bravo Ross Dress for Less. Been a fan since I 1st discovered the chain 4yrs ago in KC, at the Lenexa, KS location. My trip here, like all the rest was awesome. What can really be expected of a road the cashier was clueless on how to charge me for an item that wasn't priced he wanted to charge me 6.99$ for a Halloween item that was damaged and then blamed me for an item I found mislabeled and in the clearance section. I hope I never have to come back to this Ross they should be shame with themselves the way this place looks things all over the floor it seems nobody really cares. Not the best. What irritates me is that the checkout ladies always call the next person up when they aren't finished with the current person. I understand the need for efficiency, but to compromise privacy is definitely not the way to do it. Very unprofessional to rush the first person off and have them grab their own receipt as well. read more
