I purchased this through Chairish and thought I was buying a beautiful antique writing desk. The…read moreactual item, once delivered did not look like the photos in the advertisement on Chairish. I will have to spend an additional $600 to have the top refinished, the back and side where the chip is steamed and glued, new hardware and the knicks and scrapes repaired. I am so disappointed in this purchase. It really was presented as a lovely antique writing desk and I feel duped by this company. The deliverer/shipper, who could barely speak English was no help and was headed to another destination so he wouldn't take it back for me. I had no choice but to keep it. Chairish reached out to me about how I felt about using USHIP which I had used before and had a very good delivery with them but they they went with another company I'd never heard of. So I don't know if this was the deliverers fault or this company's. No one at Chairish will respond to my request.

The gentleman in there was both friendly and accommodating and didn't seem to mind that my kids (including a stroller) were in his shop so total plus for me! All in all an excellent place to spend time and money. Will return again.
