This is federally prohibited under the Durbin Amendment, which was passed in 2010. Even after showing her the exact federal regulation, she simply did not care and chose to be rude to me instead. This business has been reported to the Alabama Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and VISA. Do not let them charge you a debit card minimum of $10.00 because it is federally prohibited for them to do so. Edit to say: They do not have their card policies posted, and even if they did (which they did not at the time of my visit), it's literally against VISA policy and federal regulation. The owner of this business has also threatened me via Facebook Messenger on my personal profile. It is absolutely ridiculous how this experience has been after attempting to purchase ~$8.00 worth of items using a debit card.
