A good store. There are many different household goods. Good prices. Polite sellers. Lots of children's toys.

Cashier was rude when asked a question about returns. Luckily the security was able to help guide me into the right direction.

Christmas time 42 people in line only 2 cashiers open. For a big box store very poor management.

Fortunately the place wasn't crowded by any means. One thing that strikes me is how bright, airy and sparkling clean this store is. Plenty of stuff to choose from in fairly well organized departments and sections. No matter what corner of the place we walked to, everything was neat, presentable and not a raggedy looking mess of misplaced merchandise. The prices are very reasonable just like they always have been, and even better if U have a Beall's credit card. Of course JC Penney's it ain't; the chain focuses mainly upon casual wear, beachwear, low-end resort wear, small household furnishings and travel necessities. All of it, moreover, is tied to the Florida lifestyle as Beall's is a Florida chain. Although there is plenty of choice for the gentlemen in the room, it heavily caters toward the ladies. As I alluded to above: very reasonable prices augmented by clearances and sales. Almost every damn rack, shelf and table had a sale or clearance sign on it, by it, near it or over it. There are also impulse items (eg candy, snacks, etc) by the registers. Finally: all the employees we encountered (about half a dozen in our case) were/are friendly, solicitous and willing to help. Small side notes: free WiFi (kinda slow) and probably the neatest, cleanest store restrooms I've ever encountered! This store isn't much different than any other one of the chain, so I can't complain!

I came here, out of my way, because of the gracious young woman on the phone who looked for and found a tee shirt I needed for my husband. I had purchased a large in Oldsmar, and it was too snug for my husband. I checked Hudson while visiting a friend, and when they didn't have it, they called New Port RIchey & I called Palm Harbor. No luck. Later I called this Beall's and they had it. Before ringing up my exchange, I checked out the store: bright, clean, and nice displays. I loved wandering the aisles, discovering bargains and finding new things to add to my wanted list. When I checked out, my previous purchase was $2 more - my tee was now on sale! But it was an even exchange. I could have returned it, gotten my $8 back. Then bought the shirt for $6. But I would have had to fInd one on the rack. Too much trouble, and I save so much usually, with sales & extra bucks, that it was fine.

The woman who owns the shop is wonderful. She's clearly very particular about what she carries - everything is either organic, eco-friendly, or sourced from independent designers (she said she carries pieces from approximately 12 Etsy vendors). Pretty much every piece of clothing was soft to the touch and there was a decent assortment of colors, textures, and garments. The only downside is it felt like she was really limited in terms of multiple sizes in some of her garments. I know indie shops like this can't carry everything and will obviously run out of certain sizes or colors first, but anyway. The other thing she carries a lot of is vintage costume jewelry. I pawed through her cases (and there are many!) and lusted over a few different things. And just for a heads up, almost everything I picked up in terms of jewelry was $50 or above. It seemed like Brooches started around that price point and necklaces started around $100 for the most part. Granted I'm sure there are pieces cheaper than that, but it would have taken hours to manhandle everything she has. This isn't a discount kind of a place; it's obvious she takes a lot of care in collecting pieces that don't have missing stones or damaged hardware, and aren't some corny theme (like some of the antique shops in the area with Christmas or 4th of July things that will never sell). She also has a pretty solid assortment of vintage purses and leather pocket belts (those have a bit of a Burning Man feel to them, if you know what I mean). So, if you're not going to balk at the price of organic and independently made clothing and accessories, it's definitely worth checking this little shop out. If you have really nice vintage jewelry you're looking to get rid of, I'm sure she would be interested in taking a look at it based on some of the comments she made.
