Or perhaps you dont want to serve anyone that asks for what they want. I just had a pedicure and manicure a week and a half ago and didnt need another one. Even if that weren't the case; if a customer states they dont want their cuticles cut, then dont cut them. I've been giving my toes a break from the polish as its not good for the nails to constantly put polish on them. I just wanted polish on toes and shellac on my nails without cuticle clipping. When it was time to pick my color, the nail tech threw the color swatch on the table. No worries. Once my nails were done he didnt offer lotion or oil. He also didnt suggest to wash my hands so I did it anyway. He then hurried me to the pedicure station. Glad its over. Paid and even tipped, but not my usual tip. Wont return.

I've spent and tipped so much money there in the past but they have gotten sloppy, lazy, rush their services, don't care about whether or not their customers have a good experience with them, and obviously tell customers what they want them to hear to get them in their chair. My boyfriend treated me to an early birthday mani and pedi, and I found a beautiful cat-eye style set I fell in love with and wanted. Because I've been to Ruby Nails many times before and they did my cat eye nails this time last year (that looked good), I had faith in them. Not only that, but when I got there, I showed the guy at the counter the step by step VIDEO tutorial, (from start to finish) of what I wanted, and he confidently said that they could do it, which is why I went through with the nail appointment in the first place. Long story short, after they already did my toes and started on my fingers, they broke the news to me that they "could not" deliver on what I wanted, even after initially assuring me they could. They took my money, charged me the extra cat eye style fee for both my finger and toe nails and NEITHER set are even cat eye!! Don't get me wrong, I think the nails I got are cute, but I had to settle for something I didn't even want. If I would have known they couldn't have actually done it, I would have initially went somewhere else altogether, or at the end of the day, would have chosen something different. Disappointed isn't even the word. I paid $180 for these nails!! (Including a $10 tip, because I believe in tipping for services)! And they're not even anything special, let alone what I asked for and what they initially said with confidence that they could deliver!!! And the audacity to charge me the cat eye fee's, which I didn't even get!! The magnet used to create the cat eye effect was not only barely used, but it wasn't used correctly to create the illusion of the cat eye. It looks like I have regular polish on both sets. NEVER AGAIN, Ruby Nail Bar. Yall should be ashamed to take hard earned peoples money, give them your word on being able to do something that you couldn't execute, charge them for services not even rendered, and not even think twice about it.

I walk back to the nail station and there are fingernail clippings on the ground. Ok, whatever. There are three people working here. Guess they've been busy. As soon as I'm seated, the owner/receptionist lady breezes out with a cool "I'm gone" yelled out to the salon. K, bye? My manicurist asks me what I'd like. I say just a mani and some polish. She says that will be the same price as gel or dips. (Which turned out to be a staggering $50) I'm like ok, I'm a dip girl usually. We proceed. She starts filling my nails down with her little machine operated file. Once they are paper thin, she moves to the cuticles. Once I am covered in all my nail shavings that flew up from the electric file, she begins painting. Awesome. Never had my dead skin painted into my fingernails before.Not a single towel or drop of alcohol was used in this process. No hand washing. Nothing. She used a rough $1 hard nail file to rub my fingers after she was done dipping them in clear dip? 9 times, then painting polish over the top??? Never in my life, and I've had a dip every two weeks for years. The paint/dip job was so sloppy, I had to peel stuff off my PALMS afterward. I look like I have an out of control fungus on my nails. My fingers are swollen. Jesus Christ. I feel so violated, I can't even discuss the rest of it. This should be enough to let you know : do not go there. There's a reason you have to make an appointment ahead of time for your nail girl. So you don't have To experience horrible shit like this. Be warned, ladies.

We…read moreare in Red Bay with our Tiffin Motor Home for some repairs and I have had some bed hair cuts here but I am very pleased to have someone so close who does an excellent job! I took in a picture of how I wanted my hair to look and left with the style I wanted. Chris stops during the process for you to check on the progress to make sure you are happy with what he is creating. I would go back any time we are in the area!
