I needed a good Optometric Service since my previous Optomologist claimed they no longer took Humana Medicare. When requested, they also lost my wife's and my records when I requested them. Rosenthal took me right away and found that my Diabetic Cataracts had become so bad over the year since my last exam, that I needed new lenses. They referred me to the proper Surgeon and I had my lenses replaced. I went from 20/270 to 20/30. I would highly recommend Rosenthal for your eyes! read more

I went to Rosenthal Optimetric in Highland last year. I have been before, but I brought both of my boys for exams as well. At check out, I was told that my exam was covered, but my lens benefit is every 24 months. I thought that this was wrong, but she had a sheet that she kept pointing at. So, I purchased contacts out of pocket. I got the reminder call for an appointment this weekend. I went into my online insurance account to verify that we were eligible for an exam. We were eligible for an exam. I have also been eligible for contact lens benefits since 2013!!! This could have all been forgiven if ANY effort to correct it had been made by the office. I called and the receptionist and office manager basically just asked me, "What do you want me to do about it now?" Do you know how much work it would be to go through all of those papers? I guess they were paid so it doesn't matter that they cheated me out of my insurance benefit. I asked the office manager if he would go there with his insurance after seeing how mine was handled, he said "I don't know" and the receptionist was rude to me. I am currently "waiting" on a call back from the doctor's office, but I am not holding my breath. So buyer beware!!! Also looking for other local optometrist offices that are capable of correctly filling insurance with good and reputable doctors. read more

I would highly NOT recommend using this optometrist. We followed our Dr. Mary Lampe here because she is the best; Dr. Tinge and her staff not so much. As a matter of fact, there are two that I wouldn't allow near the front desk because THEY have absolutely NO customer service skills. Apparently they do not keep very good track of patients records and hand them out to anyone requesting. Subpoenaed my deceased mother-in-law's file and it is nowhere to be found. They claim the file had been subpoenaed earlier, yet have nothing to back it up. Doesn't pass the stink test. read more
