TL;DR: Great experience from start to finish. Riley was helpful and informative over the phone,…read moreSeth was friendly, punctual, and offered a fair price, and the whole process was quick, easy, and stress-free. They handled the paperwork, paid cash on the spot, and made getting rid of my car much simpler than I expected. I called several towing companies looking for a rough estimate and some guidance on getting rid of my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Since I wasn't familiar with the process, I had a lot of questions, but most places seemed uninterested and weren't very helpful. I found Sell A Junker through Google, called, and spoke to (if I remember correctly) Riley, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how everything worked, from the assessment and towing to the title transfer and payment. He made the whole process easy to understand. They made everything pretty simple. We set up a time that worked for both of us, they came out to my car in South Minneapolis, looked it over, handled the paperwork, and paid me on the spot. They're based in Maple Grove, but coming out wasn't an issue at all. Communication was great throughout the whole process, and everything went smoothly. I was helped by Seth who was amazing as well, showed up right on time and was super kind and explained everything thoroughly and what he was willing to offer based on its condition. The assessment didn't take longer than probably 8-10 minutes, and Seth ended up giving me a really great deal!! He had patience with me as I finished up clearing out the stuff from my car before he towed it away and provided me an email receipt right away when I asked for one. Paid me cash on the spot and all was smooth and good to go! Highly recommend this place:)

Very disappointing experience. We initially heard from our neighbor how much better curbside was…read moreand we looked into it and it's true. Instead of simply handling our cancellation a significant portion of the call was spent criticizing the company we were switching to. That felt unprofessional and completely unnecessary .We weren't asking for opinions about another business we were asking to cancel our service Ironically the company we were warned about has been more helpful, more transparent, and less expensive, while many of the concerns Ace raised ended up reflecting our experience with Ace instead A company shouldnt need to sell itself by putting down its competitors. Good customer service speaks for itself The final irony tho was being told Ace will very busy signing up new customers to pick up our bins after our service with them ends and will take them a long time to grab them. Considering we've noticed several of our neighbors switching to other companies that was an interesting claim

I have been to Maximum Recycling Many Times and have been more than happy with their service and…read moreprices. They are always friendly and helpful and will help you unload if they are not too busy which they usually are as it is a very busy place for a reason. One example, I brought in some computer boards, aluminum cans, a little steel, and a paper grocery bag full of copper wire. They weighed everything and printed out my check, I got in my pickup and looked at the check and it was way more than it should have been, they paid me for 400 pounds of copper wire rather than the 40 that it was. I went back in and told Chris the owner that either that paper bag and I are a lot stronger than I think we are or you paid me too much. He looked at it and said I know what I did wrong and started to correct it, the software on the computer glitched and it deleted the entire invoice so he had to start over, took about 20 minutes to get it fixed up so he paid me the correct amount and added $50 more because it took so long. I got lazy once and took cans over to a place closer as I was in a hurry, I estimated the total weight and got paid less than half of what I should have. I will never go anywhere other than Maximum, they pay more than most other places and are great to deal with.
