My Search Started to come up with Bayamito & Sons. Michael the Owner came out to do the Assessment with a Coconut Removal Quote and a Whole Tree Removal Quote. Since the Coconuts were Straight Over our Roof and Falling we decided the Removal was right decision. They Guaranteed Full Stump Removal and since the Job was being done right before Bulk Trash we saved on "Tree Removable Take-Away". While in the Process of Removing the Coconut Palm we decided to take out a couple of Rotting Palms on Property as they were Slowly on a Disintegrating Process. The Guarantee was to have ALL Stumps Removed as we Explained we will be Re-Planting in the Removed Areas. The Coconut Tree was taken down, piece by piece.. The Palm were Removed.. BUT the Stumps still Remained in All Areas. After "Removal" it was a Huge Struggle to Replant as the Stumps were Clearly still there. Extra ExTRa Work to Fully Remove.. Also, while picking-up items around the Yard the BobCat Broke one of our Sprinkler Lines. Left for us to deal with the Aftermath.. After all said and done, not the Best Experience but the Job got Done atleast with the Tree Removal.

He gave a very reasonable quote for the job (unlike other companies that were charging me triple to quadruple the cost). I couldn't believe it when I heard him say he can do it that same weekend morning. He communicated well and let me know when he was on his way or at the gate. When he arrived, he was professional and did the job efficiently. He even cleaned up the area afterwards and didn't damage the surrounding area. I highly recommend Mike & Bayamito & Sons for any tree stump removal!

Needless to say these and other trees need to be trimmed periodicly. Juan and his two sons did an amazing job at my office so I asked him to give me an estimate for our home. His price was very fair. They showed up on time in three different trucks and got right to work. In addition to trimming the oaks we asked him to remove 6 tall fishtail palms, thin out two arecas, and get a big thick oak branch off one tree that was threatening our roof. Hiring a family owned and operated business makes great sense and is very rewarding. The work is excellent. Juan is a certified arborist and really knows his business. Already a neighbor has hired him (there are a lot of old oaks in our 'hood) and we have recommended Excel to two friends. We will keep them on our speed dial. Highly recommended!

We hired Wilson JEANVIL (786-521-8568) here in Miami, Florida to trim tree limbs growing to close…read morefor comfort over the top of our roof and especially a dead oak menacing the power line leading to our house, but we fell victim to this fraudulent, unlicensed, uninsured contractor. Jeanvil introduced himself as working for FP&L. We agreed on the price of $1500 to be paid at the end of the workday. As soon as his crew had arrived on Sunday 08/04/2019, he forbade us to take pictures of the trucks, oddly enough, particularly of the FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT contractors' logo painted on the doors: LEWIS Tree Service. Soon, Wilson Jeanvil demanded larger payments than agreed: a thousand dollars extra for cleanup; another thousand dollars extra for cutting a dead trunk that had been hit by lightning for which we needed the trim in the first place. This dangerous trunk was definitively part of the agreement. He refused to cut it unless we paid $1000 extra. His demands for more and more money soon sounded like extortion. Jeanvil assured us permits and inspections are not required. Jeanvil gave a verbal contract only. He refused to put terms in writing or issue a detailed invoice. Jeanvil does not have proof of insurance. Jeanvil refuses to discount for damages to our parking. Jeanvil only works weekends, preferably Sundays. Jeanvil asks to make checks payable to his person or "cash" rather than a company name and even threatened to stop all work unless we paid in full up front. Jeanvil's advertisements, vehicles, cards, and so on do not display a license number. Jeanvil owns no professional equipment. Jeanvil makes unauthorized use of a bucket truck and mulcher that belong to the LEWIS Tree Service Inc., a subcontractor of FP&L. (See photos). His brother drives one of these trucks. His dad and sons are in the pictures. His mom brought hot lunch at noon. It is likely that the workers who were in uniform wearing white hard hats from FP&L with blue lettering, were supposed to go clear power lines that Sunday and were clocking overtime. Makes you wonder if the LEWIS Tree Family condones this enterprise? Or if FP&L knows what it pays LEWIS for. To include clean-up, a check of $2500 was written and handed over to Jeanvil after noon, when the trucks departed to fleece other "clients". The next morning, Monday, when licensed and insured tree service owner Bill Dixon (Affordable Tree service) came as scheduled to give us an estimate, he told us we had overpaid Jeanvil for clean-up. By going online, he showed us that Jeanvil is unlicensed. He pointed out that the trimming was done illegally and the clean-up unfinished. We decided to seek advice and called SunTrust Fraud Dept immediately. They told us to hold payment of the check, to not be part of a criminal activity. And Mr. Dixon said: "When you hire an unlicensed, uninsured contractor, you are aiding and abetting in a crime. If a laborer gets injured on your property, you as homeowner are liable and can be sued by the individual." Finally, we hired the licensed contractor: Affordable Tree Service to redo the job for $1200 plus $25 clean-up fee. We asked Jeanvil to stop trespassing on our property. He keeps appearing uninvited late into the night with cohorts peeking thru the windows and childishly turning off our main water valve. We urge anyone to report Jeanvil to the police who can arrest him and his crew for illegally running a business without a license. In Florida, unlicensed contracting can be a misdemeanor or felony. The first offense can result in a first-degree misdemeanor that will include penalties or the person receiving 12 months of probation, up to one year in jail, and a $1,000 fine. After consulting an attorney, we learned that: Tree trimmers in Florida must have a Class A or Class B license to work on clients' trees. The Florida Supreme court has ruled that unlicensed contractors cannot sue if a client refuses to pay part of, or all of the agreement, oral or written. Florida Statute §489.128 bars an unlicensed contractor from receiving payment for his work, and he is required to return any payments received for services rendered. Bill Dixon is a no-nonsense guy. He has a Class B license number printed on his contracts. He is insured, efficient and on the mark. He gives his crew specific orders and they execute them with the utmost quality and skill. They cut that perilous dry tree trunk immediately and expertly. As a matter of fact, they worked so well together, they finished in about 2 hours. I highly recommend Bill Dixon's company AFFORDABLE TREE SERVICE. He is honest and knowledgeable. A fine gentleman. His crew is agile and effective, friendly and legal.

I do this every couple of…read moreyears, but my usual guy, who did a fantastic job before, recently moved to Hialeah and said my home was now a bit too far for him. So, I found myself searching for someone new... a bit reluctantly, to be honest, because I know how tough it is to find someone who really cares about doing a great job. After scrolling through Google, I stumbled upon Acosta Tree Trimming and was immediately drawn to their high rating over 100 reviews, and nearly all of them glowing with praise. That's a rare find, and I thought, "This might be my guy!" So, I called, and right away, Manny, the owner, answered the phone. From the start, he struck me as courteous, professional, and genuinely interested in understanding what I needed. He didn't rush the conversation or treat me like just another number. Instead, he requested photos of my trees and asked me what specifically I had in mind for the trimming. Manny explained that he was pretty booked up for the week, but since it was a small job, he'd try to squeeze me in that very afternoon if that worked for me. I thought that was amazing! In a world where you're lucky to get a response within 48 hours, this kind of quick service is almost unheard of. True to his word, Manny and a crew of about four arrived later that day. They showed up on time, ready to go, and with all the necessary equipment. Manny led the crew, and you could tell right away that he runs a tight ship. Every team member was polite, professional, and, most importantly, careful in the way they worked around my home and garden. They trimmed the trees exactly how I had asked, carefully managing the branches so they wouldn't interfere with my roof or the pergola between both trees... a huge relief with storm season coming up! The best part? They didn't leave a single trace of debris behind. They cleaned up everything, hauled it away, and left my yard looking even better than when they arrived. All of this was done with such professionalism, and Manny made sure there were no surprise costs or added fees for the cleanup. It was clear they took pride in doing a thorough job, which is something I truly appreciated. Acosta Tree Trimming, established by Manny years back, isn't just your run-of-the-mill service. Manny's team specializes not only in expert tree care but also in making the experience smooth and stress free for their clients. This isn't just a business for Manny; it's his reputation, and he takes it seriously. Thanks to Manny and his team, I now have beautifully trimmed fruit trees, and I feel a lot more confident knowing they're well-maintained and won't be a risk to my new roof or pergola in any storms. If you're looking for a reliable, dedicated, and genuinely caring team to handle your tree trimming needs, I highly recommend Acosta Tree Trimming. They exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can honestly say that I found my new go-to tree service!
