Not only did Kilburn Construction repair the Hardy Board and underlying plywood, but they also brought the entire area "up to code." It looks better now than when we purchased our home. Polite, neat, and efficient, they left no trash or debris as they were doing their work. Chris is so knowledgeable he corrected additional problems we acquired from our original builder and gave us solid advice for our future painting project. Trevor was also so very polite and a great worker as well. If truly care about your home and want to maintain it, you need to call Kilburn Construction. The salesman we sat with was Shannon. He was very kind and professional. He made several suggestions on safety precautions for my mother. But the most impressive was the high quality materials they use as well as the installation process. He understood the rush I was in to get this completed before my mother came out of rehab but at the same time the installation process was not compromised at all. This company goes out of their way to use the best products along with quality work that will last. The other companies we interviewed with did not use quality products and were proud to say they complete it in one day... that shouldn't be if you want the adhesives to dry properly. Keep in mind that all the windows, screens & sliding doors were purchased February 2004 with a full lifetime warranty. The warranty offer was the reason for signing a contract with CVS. The problem I'll be referring to is one of the sliding doors has a broken seal on the glass panes which has caused dirt to collect between them & 2 of the screens to both sliding doors are damaged due to age & need to be replaced. 12/2020-A tech came out & I showed him the problems. He took pictures of everything & said he'd have the office order new ones. He explained it would take about a month. 2-4-21-Called office & was told by Andrea none have been received. 4-26-21-Called office & again none have been received. 5-18-21-ETA of door & screens was 5-12-21. Andrea will call vendor & call back. 6-15-21-Problem with vendor. No replacements arrived. Will call back. 7-19-21-Replacements are to be shipped 8-4-21 per Phil. Will call when they arrive. 8-18-21-Sarah said replacements are in. Will schedule for service when Rob comes in. 8-23-21-Phil said nothing is in. It will be another 2 weeks. He asked me to hold off until January 14th. I agreed. 1-3-22-Phil called to asked if he & Rob could come over, measure the screens, go to Home Depot & order them. They came over but instead of measuring them, they took the screens to repair them. 1-11-22-Phil called. Parts are in to repair screens but Rob had a heart attack. No word on when the door will be in. 1-12-22-Phil called. The door is in. He will call next week to set up a day for Mike the tech to come out and install it. Rob will repair the screens when he can and a schedule date will be set up separately for them.   1-18-22-Phil called to say the delivery person dropped the door & broke the glass. He called the vendor & a new door will arrive February 9, 2022. Phil will call when door comes in.   2-17-22-Haven't heard anything. No door and no screens. I'll not call again.   This will be posted March 1, 2022 on Google, BBB & anywhere else I can think of whether the replacements have been delivered & installed or not so that, as I said in the beginning, one can decide if they have the patience & time to deal with Custom Vinyl Systems.   In the meantime, I've checked Lowe's & they have the screens for $88 in stock. I'll be picking them up and sending Phil the receipt in hopes of reimbursement. As for the door, I can't order a new one because I'd have to order 2 in order for them to match. Therefore, an option is to have a window installer come out, replace the window panes & send that bill to Phil also.

The crew came out as expected, professional, efficient, explained the job and did the whole house in a few hours. Cindi came and inspected the work during the job and after it was completed. It looks fantastic, the highest quality of workmanship that could be expected. I am extremely happy with the job and highly recommend them for any and all construction projects.

Eddie is a great talker and tells you he can do everything and really lets you believe he can be trusted. I had a full rehab for my house including painting, new flooring, new vanities, all new light fixtures, basically total overhaul. The original bid was $23,900. I have pets so I specifically told Eddie I would be moving into an Airbnb so he could get the house done without having to work around me and I did not want my pets stressed by all the noise and activity. He agreed that the job would be done in 4 weeks. During this time, he decided to accept a bathroom remodel in my neighbors house at the same time. He only works from about 9am to 4pm with a lunch break. He was 2 weeks past the deadline and still was not finished!! He submitted receipts from the hardware store for me to pay that were parts he bought for my neighbors job! He has now charged me over $34,000 for my job that was supposed to cost $24,944. That is a 30% mark up!! The work site was an absolute disaster, they left my house in terrible shape. They sprayed my floors with glue remover and did not protect my furniture (he promised all furniture would be protected and covered) which has now eaten the stain off several pieces of my antique furniture. He took all my books and piled them on my mattress and did not cover my mattress so not only was it exposed to toxic chemicals from the glue remover he used, the mattress was filthy because he never covered it even though he promised he would. He did not wire my ceiling fans correctly so I had to pay an electrician to come and re-wire them. Ge burnt out 1 ceiling fan with his bad wiring and the electrician said it needs to be replaced. He also left screws loose on the bedroom fans so they would eventually fall from the ceiling. He stored all his tools in my garage and left such a mess, I tripped over his cords and hurt myself pretty badly. Even once I moved back in, everyday they would throw trash on the floors inside the house and then leave. Every night I would have to go around cleaning up all their trash. He bills you for items that are not complete and then expects payment even though items are not completed. I bought all the materials and because he was so disorganized, he lost several parts that I had to re- purchase. I have never seen such a messy, disorganized job site in my 30 years of property management where I worked with hundreds of contractors over the years. I could keep going, but I am sure you get the point t. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, WORST DECISION EVER! Total incompetent and can't complete job on time because they only work about 5 to 6 hours a day.
