Our main concern on our wedding day was that we didn't want ourselves or our family and friends to do any work on our wedding day. We just wanted to focus on enjoying our big day without having to worry about the details and the behind the scenes action. Our team made that possible and we are forever grateful to them. Espy made sure we stayed on track with our timeline and that all our vendors were on the same page. We got married at Cravens Estate with 200 guests. Cravens is (or "was" since we were told ours would be the last wedding there; damn those snobby, rich, complaining neighbors!) a venue where you bring everything yourself -- food, booze, tables, chairs, musicians, servers, etc., so as you can imagine there is quite a bit of coordinating that had to be done. Liz's team met with us several times in the six months leading up to our wedding. We had some minor snafus nailing down meeting dates/times because they were coming from out east and we live close to Santa Monica, but we made it work. Our venue added restrictions seemingly every month thanks to those pesky neighbors, and Liz and Daniel were good about brainstorming workarounds with us. As for the big day, everything went great. They basically took care of everything that we were too busy to check on ourselves, and I'm sure they were running around monitoring details as my wife and I rested/socialized/ate/drank/took pictures. Funny story, we actually had forgotten our ceremony candles, and Daniel took off for the nearest mall about a half hour before our ceremony to get us something that would work and came back all out of breath just in time. The effort was much appreciated. They kept things moving and on schedule but also were able to give us an extra minute or two with a table here or there. I brought a few blank checks to the wedding and used one to extend Liz's team a couple more hours. All in all, I highly recommend their services! The peace of mind alone makes it worth hiring them.

I got married on 10/6/12 at the University of Michigan football stadium (aka the Big House)…read more I'm from california and I knew Liz and Dae Gun were good so I hired them to do my wedding in Michigan. They agreed even though they were unfamiliar with the Michigan territory and our venue. We had to also communicate through skype & google chat. Liz's assistants designed and printed our invitations and programs (a separate addition I paid for). I was very picky/specific with the way I wanted them --- football ticket style invitations and foam finger looking paper programs. Everything came out SOOOO perfectly. They did it in a manner so that it was still classy, feminine and cute yet sporty. They are so talented. People even asked if they could save the invitations and email us their rsvp instead of ripping the ticket stub. As for the wedding coordinating, Liz is very very meticulous. Even my venue and vendors were impressed and commented that they have never seen such an organized and detailed timeline. She wants your wedding to be as perfect as possible. We met via computer 3 times where we went over the timeline and other questions she had for us. She asked questions I would have NEVER thought of. She covers everything from the day before to the end of the night so that you come and leave with everything. I am very impressed with the organization of This Is The Day. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I didn't know of any problems at all. My husband and I were so stress free. We just did everything they told us to do. Our MC had stage fright and ended up not making the flow as smooth, Dae Gun/Liz stepped up and guided him to make sure the flow of the reception went smoothly. Also, the day of, we found out we had to do the korean ceremony (pae bek). Liz and Dae Gun fit it into the schedule so smoothly. No one knew how to put on the head piece of the hanbok and the male hanbok, but Liz and Dae Gun did. They also guided us through the whole pae bek. They are amazing and obviously very experienced. The fact that they were in a different state didn't alter their skillsets at all! I don't know what I would have done without them. THANK YOU THIS IS THE DAY!

Little that I know that the savings she has helped me with was more than her price. I was still blessed that I got the chance to work with her halfway through my wedding, by that point I had overpaid for my florist, didn't negotiate with the venue maximally and almost retain a DJ that I was not too crazy about. Josy is so generous with her time and smiles, she is so easy to work with and has found me vendors that is also easy to work with. Brides please do not do what I did, do not retain someone just because they are your family friend. Weddings are expensive and an unclear contract means you are at the mercy of your vendors. Finding the dress is the easiest and best part of wedding planning. Everything after that consist of the dull and scary chore of reading contracts and making sure you are not had by your vendors. Josy renegotiate the contract with my venue, found me a new florist at half the price, found a cheaper and nicer DJ, found me a lighting and decoration guys and got me all this extra stuff ; she drove to every meeting with vendors, read the contract and even negotiate with them. Not to mention she is generous with her time and hugs -trust me you need it after a while. She drove with me to downtown LA and came up with saving tips during my florist meeting. She also took me to the wholesaler and we found everything under the sun. she also stop me from buying certain things downtown since she could get it cheaper elsewhere. I wished she could help organize my life too and read all of my other contracts =) . I love Josy and I think she deserves 10 stars for saving me from unscrupulous vendors.

Stephanie was by our sides the whole day - running around for setup, putting boutonnieres on, communicating with the DJ, letting us know exactly when to walk out for the ceremony and grand entrance, and being a personal bodyguard for us so we could eat dinner without guest distractions. She anticipated what we needed to do and what we wanted before we even thought about it. It felt like having a highly organized friend who was helping with your wedding. She is very easy-going, organized, and funny. She made sure to keep us on track and run us through all of our family photos and table photos as quickly as possible, but also let us film our Tiktoks in-between the important stuff. We also had Sam help out for the first half of the day and she was also very helpful keeping us hydrated, carrying my wife's dress around, and bringing us cocktail hour food. We found Stephanie through referrals from my wife's coworkers and she also was on the preferred vendor list for the Grand Gimeno. One of those coworkers said "I would get married again just to have Stephanie help me plan (and coordinate) my wedding." We were sold! We reached out about 9-10 months before our set wedding date and inquired about day-of-coordinator services. Stephanie was very personable from the start and organized, sending us a lot of the spreadsheets/worksheets after we signed the initial contract. Before the month-of prep meeting, we just sent her info of all of our vendors as we booked them and emailed back-and-forth. Once the month-of started, Stephanie started ramping up - she created our timeline and reached out to all of our vendors. She walked through exactly what we needed to do leading up to the big day and she was very communicative/available. We met Stephanie in-person for the first time during our 1-hour rehearsal slot at the venue during the week of the wedding. She was very friendly, talkative, but also detail-oriented and professional. Her timeline and guest seating chart templates were very helpful and I am glad she made us complete them early. I'm sure she did other behind-the-scenes work to alleviate some of our tasks and for that I am very thankful! We really enjoyed working with Stephanie and highly recommend her to any other couples getting married in the area!!
