I recently attended a funeral at this funeral home. It was a very nice service. But we were very…read moreupset about the handling of the flowers. They were very expensive flowers. Usually the flowers are set up with the grave but our flowers (and all the others) were set on the ground over to the side in the 90 plus degree heat. We went off to lunch and came back a couple of hours later. The flowers were still laying on the ground down the hill from the grave. They should have, at least, been put up by the grave.

While it is difficult to reach someone by phone, I was able to get another number for Lee and I was able to correspond with him that way. Once I reached him about plots my grandparents had, he sprung into action and was able to locate the deeds the same day and even text me a picture of the plot and the condition was great. I felt like we went above and beyond ensuring that my grandmother's memorial service looked wonderful and that all of the seatings were spaced so that we can be safe during COVID-19. Overall I was pleased with the assistance that I got from Lee Hasty and his team. While it was difficult to reach him at first when I did connect with him he was extremely communicative and very sensitive to our recent loss.

As this was a very emotional time for my family, all of the staff here treated my grandmother, father, and other family members with the utmost respect. They were courteous to all that stopped by the chapel to see my grandfather before the funeral. They dressed my grandfather up well. He looked like the grandfather I remember as I grew up, not the man that lost weight during his sickness. They arrived to the house to give us extra chairs, set up the guest book stand, and arrived the day of the funeral 30 minutes beforehand to take us to the church which wasn't even 5 minutes away. They were also very efficient in helping aide my aunt around who is in a wheelchair. Overall, they were great. Again, this was a very emotional time so it was amazing and provided relief that we didn't have to worry about a lot because they took care of everything. Thank you so much.

Walk in and it's almost like a car dealership. Large plate glass windows, high ceiling and lots of power toys for the big boys on display. They are a Stihl dealership and it shows. I made the grand tour in the Macon/Warner Robins/Byron area of most, if not all these places looking for a few parts for a weed eater. What I learned was Lowes and Home Depot sold machines are hard to find parts for. About all I got was a view off all these shops and a half tank or more less of gas. Talked to the man in the parts department. Very nice guy. Looked at the part I was trying to replace, a grommet for the fuel tank, but couldn't match it with anything he had. Talked to me for a few minutes about how the system works and many of these big box store machines will be hard to find parts for locally. Never tried to push any of his products on me. Rarely do you see someone try to help someone that isn't going to be a customer because they don't have the part. But, not only did he take the time to explain these things to me but he recommended another shop south of him that might be my best best. Service what they sell. Lowes or Home Depot will never say that.

I'm not sure if i should be rating the home itself, but i'm rating the mtn bike trails here…read more for a long time biker, this is a pretty good trail. it's a little confusing for the first time as there are numbers all over the place and they don't go in order. and there are several bypass trails that shortcut several times. but it is fast singletrack, and since my odometer has been broken for several months now (too lazy to repair it), i'm not sure how long it is, but i've read it's about 5-6 miles and it takes me anywhere from 30-45 minutes to complete. the local cross country team runs there, so if there's a meet there, you won't be able to ride. but it's nice and shady, paralleling a stream at some point, through pines and forest, and it's just a really good trail for a quick ride after work. if you are a trail runner, beware of poison ivy as it is rampant.

This group struggled in the past, but they have a new member on board who runs multiple programs…read morearound the state with great success. The housing is being worked on, and they have started planning renovations to additional buildings that were not up to code for a long time. There is a very bright future for these young adults. There is talk of a transitional housing program for the young women who leave the grounds when they reach a certain age, so that they have a better rate of successfully transitioning to independent living. There was also an addition of a part time teacher on site to help get the students back on track, as some have trouble in the Bibb County School System (not surprising). I am very excited about the new ideas and hope that Macon will re-discover this program with positive, productive, and respectful opinions.
