I was immediately drawn to the professionalism and expertise of the team. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable but still relatable and easy to approach. I really appreciated this because sometimes it can be extremely nerve wrecking to ask for professional advice. I utilized the career launch kit and worked closely with Becky Schwarz. Most importantly I want to mention how patient and helpful she was during the entire process. I initially signed up for the service around February of 2020 and then I was hit with some unexpected health issues and then the pandemic shut down happened. Long story short I was going through a lot physically and emotionally as you can imagine! Eventually I got it together and was ready to begin working with the YNJ team again to update my resume and LinkedIn. Becky was patient, understanding and attentive throughout the entire process. I can tell you that I wasn't the easiest client to work with lol. From March 2020-October 2020 I experienced lots of professional changes within the same company due to various project rotations and an organization restructure. For reference I work in a non-tech role for a tech startup. Becky and the team were able to take all of the changes and feedback I provided to create an absolutely amazing resume and linked in profile. I have not been actively looking for new employment since utilizing the YNJ services but I have received significantly more traffic to my LinkedIn and great comments from recruiters about my resume. I would 100% recommend YNJ and appreciate them for all of their great work!

I appreciated the email reminders before the appointment. Timothy gave me a call promptly at 9pm and walked me through the basics of strengthening a resume. Since the appointment was only 15 minutes, he cut right to the chase. I took notes as he discussed how to word a resume to get employers to notice it. At the end of the call, I received some example resume templates to use. The appointment went by fast but Timothy was efficient in his explanations. The information Timothy shared was extremely helpful for me! I would highly recommend using Your Next Jump for help in improving a resume.

I had been struggling with having a clear plan and finding the time to work on developing my business plan so Denise helped me think through how I could fit it in my life and provided me with numerous tools. She has guided me through the business planning process and challenged me to think through every aspect of developing it. I've been working with her for 3 months and it has allowed me to have a clear plan for developing my business plan and has reduced my anxiety about all the various elements of the process. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has big dreams but needs help staying on track to make them achievable.

I worked with Denise as a career coach for a few months and ended up doing three phone sessions…read more Denise is friendly, professional, approachable, and talented women who I believe would relate well to a variety of people. She led me through a few exercises to help me better identify my goals in life and most important values. This was helpful to some extent but I never felt very clear about next steps. Denises' strategy is to help people believe in themselves and find their own track rather than just telling them, or advising them on what to do next. On the one hand, I believe there is a lot of power in Denises' approach and ultimately people have to be responsible for themselves and whatever career choices they make. On the other hand, as a professional career coach, I expected a little more feedback on what some good options or next moves for me might be. I did not leave unhappy but just a little unfulfilled and unwilling to continue expensive coaching sessions without being 99% confident that I would gain more clarity. That being said, one reason I chose Denise is that her pricing model seemed in-line with others and even had more flexibility in that I didn't have to commit up-front to 6 months of coaching. Denise has a lot of really good experience and I think is an insightful person. She made it clear to me that I have many talents and could basically move in any direction that I wanted. Doing the career exercises didn't really help me figure out what I wanted to do more and perhaps that's not her fault. She did help me understand that without knowing more about what an actual job/career would be like, it's hard to make a judgement about whether it would be something I would find fulfilling and a good fit. In the end, I am still looking for mini-experiments, or "try-ons" to learn more about my options and could have used some more help with this. As an example, when I did the "homework" assignments, I didn't feel like the feedback and follow up on the assignments was specific enough for what I was expecting. Again, maybe my expectations were off and maybe it's more a matter of fit and with someone that has a more narrow focus and/or knows what they want, Denise could be a great option. For an admittedly indecisive person like myself, it maybe wasn't a perfect fit.

They provide a proven system of structure and accountability towards so many of a business' avenues, from the patient (client) experience to clinical tools to financial best practices and goal setting. Just like a personal fitness trainer, you get out of it what you put into it! You have to do the work! Their trainers are impeccably trained themselves and seemingly always have a good answer to questions posed by any type of team member you may have. The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and very good at reading your team members to adapt the training so that it's understood by all. The rest of the SI accounts/events/etc teams are also absolutely wonderful! They always have our back! I've read the previous reviews on SI and Jay Geier, and as a business owner I welcome Jay's no-nonsense approach towards his presentations and his business. There's a fine line between arrogance and confidence and Jay is a very confident person, as he and any successful person should be. The Scheduling Institute and many of their on-site trainings to date has helped us grow our business from the previous owning Dr. of 40 years by over 100% in our first two years. With their help and our own time and hard work, we're on track to have the wonderful problem of looking to buy and build out a bigger, wonderfully equipped new building to care for our quickly growing number of patients AND give back to our community in only our third full calendar year of business! Finally, giving back to the community, something we can't wait to begin doing, is really paramount and at the core of what Jay and the Scheduling Institute is about. Whether it be mission trips to help underserved areas in other communities or countries, sponsoring local events and charity drives, or hosting our own free dentistry day for our community, Jay and SI are not only helping us become financially able to do so but back up their talk by doing so many charitable acts themselves. Again, you get out what you put in and SI's programs demand effort, attention and (team) buy-in. It's not easy, but when was the last time anyone got their best results by not being motivated to push yourself outside your comfort zone?
