Now we live a bit far away, but in an online search for a place with a good selection of healthy house plants, Knollwood came up repeatedly. So we drove down & were amazed by the terrific selection of not only house plants, but also pots, gifts & beautiful Christmas decor! The place is huge and it's FULL! And the products they're making for Christmas are stunning. Even my somewhat curmudgeonly husband was impressed. And their prices, especially for house plants & pots, are way lower than other competitors, even the big box places. The plants are healthier, too. And the best thing was the help we received. I was seeking advice for plants I might not accidentally kill, and the lovely young woman who helped me (I think her name was Kirsten or Kristen??) was so knowledgeable. She asked some good questions, then gave me advice on what to choose, and then while I was shopping she thoughtfully placed two gifts I had already chosen into pretty organza gift bags! I was really just amazed by this, Amazing selection, prices, and especially service that you just don't get anymore these days. You'll find all of it at Knollwood!!!

It is a little off the beaten track, located near Tony Stewart's elaborate estate west of Columbus. Not too many flowers, but lots of shrubs, bushes, hedges, etc, at reasonable prices. She is a font of ideas and suggestions, and if you bring photos of your garden and house she is more than willing to get you going. This is about as non-corporate as it gets, and the selection is way more diverse than the big box stores. The shrubs are grown and tended with care, and are guaranteed healthy--you can replace anything that doesn't survive. If you want great service with a personal touch, you can't go wrong here. This location is particularly messy and while I have occasionally scored here, more often than not I'm let down. Their book department is almost all children's titles and cookbooks. I was hoping for a board game, but again that department is primarily stuff for small children. Clothing? Mostly work gear, men's jeans, plain T shirts, thick socks etc. This last visit I had success with some closeout Del Monte canned vegetables and tomato products but overall the food items don't really seem all that cheap. Disappointingly, they do not have even one electric scooter shopping cart for people with mobility issues. The staff members are very sweet and pleasant and there is usually an adequate number of them. It is fun to roam around in here every couple of months, as you might possibly find a hidden gem. Just don't get your hopes up too high. I would say if you have numerous small children on your gift list, you'll probably be satisfied.
