This was my personal experience, and I want others to know what happened before deciding to hire him. What hurts most is trying to understand how someone can treat people this way. It's honestly heartbreaking to think a person could make a habit of taking advantage of others and feel okay walking away from it. I myself don't have a lot of money and my family has had some electrical problems. Google reviews said he did a good job and was a reasonable price, probably the only amount I can afford at this time. He took my hard eared cash while I try to look after my 6 younger siblings, house them, feed them and clothe them. I truly feel sorry for anyone who reaches a point where this becomes normal for them. I hope he eventually realizes the harm he's caused and finds a way to make things right.

Paid money upfront for supplies - he had ample time to complete the work. Initially he did remove the old knob and tube and stopped by for a couple of days to rewire the garage - but then started to ask for more and more money - I could see his drug addiction was taking hold - a lot of talk and no action has left us with an unsafe situation with wiring which will have to be stripped out and redone. Basically the whole job needs to be redone at extra cost of $1000's of dollars. The Richmond inspector came by to see the work and was appalled and stopped all work until the problems caused by Vaughn Electric have been rectified. We are now without power in our garage for the winter and I'm out $4k. Vaughn Electric is unfortunately a scam - money for one job gets spent on drugs and then he goes to the next customer and uses their money for supplies in a rolling tale of woe. Vaughn Electric needs to be avoided at all costs! Maybe Ryan someday will get his addiction under control and become a valued member of society again - I gave him a chance but he failed. This was a very expensive surprise project. Bader was great, though. The employee was at my house for around 2 days rerouting all the pipes so they would fit up in the ceiling. Phenomenal work and was very pleasant. He came back to check on things after a few days to make any adjustments needed before the contractor put ceilings back up. · I needed a gas line ran to my kitchen as I was switching to gas from electric. Two men came to run gas line and were done within an hour. · Also, had half-bath toilet mounted because the new flooring required removal of the old one. · After renovation was complete, plumbers needed to come back in and hook up all the water for sink and dishwasher. Had a bit of an issue because parts were misplaced for garbage disposal and dishwasher in between all the subcontractors in and out of the house, but Bader ordered the parts needed and installed everything as soon as parts came in. All the specialists were professional and friendly. However, one guy in particular kept putting his dirty hands on my walls and white cabinets, but there's some things you overlook when everything else was great. I just cleaned up after he left. Bader seems to be a bit pricier than others in the area, but you get what you pay for - highly skilled workers that get the job done.
