At Rosa Sur 32 there is minimal indoor seating with more on the patio outside. Ot is located in An Parque Santa Lucia. This small gem is tucked in with more notable and recognizable restaurants, but from my point of view, not better! The expansive menu invites its guest to explore and try something new. Our first visit was months ago and now that we are back in Merida we made Rosa Sur 32 a priority to visit. I won't begin to explain the menu, it is too diverse. But trust my word, whatever you order will be well worth the visit. Great service and comfort await you! read more

A GEM IN THE PARK - Nestled in the corner of among a line of restaurants in Parque de Santa Lucia sits Rosa Sur 32. Though inside seating is limited they have a number of tables outside so on a cool night its beautiful. We ordered light, getting only the house salad of the day and fish tacos. We were pleasantly surprised when they brought us complimentary bread with a chilled zuchinni garlic puree, think like a thick zuchinni gazpacho but it actually tastes good. Very refreshing on a warm evening. The house salad was anything but mundane, coming with mixed greens, cubed cucumber, cubed apple, cubed celery, and sliced kiwi. It was fantastic and the portion was generous. We also ordered fish tacos and these come as a pair. The breading was light and crispy, slightly oily in a good way, and served piping hot! We were in Merida for over a week and visited this restaurant 3 times. We rarely do this! We came for dinner, desserts, and breakfast. Everything was delicious and the service was always excellent. My personal favorite was the dark chocolate dessert with cardamom ice cream. Wow! read more

I've eaten here three or four times. They have really decent fish taco appetizers. The green salad was good. I don't remember what else u had but I remember it all being nice as was their staff. Portions are smallish, which is why I ordered a lot. The only dish I didn't care for was the duck confit panuchos. It just was ok. But I've gone several more time so I guess I like them. read more

Not only is the square here very nice, cute, and safe, but this is some of the better food I've ever had. The atmosphere is great, right on the square. It's super cute with outdoor seat Mojitos were great too! We got the burrata, fig, and prosciutto appetizer which was perfect! The duck mole was great and the HIGHLIGHT of the night was the arroz con Barbacoa lamb. The dessert was amazing too- fig and marscapone. We will be returning before the end of our trip! read more

The best part of the restaurant was the service. Our waiter made our night a fun and delightful one. I give it 3 stars because the food is uneven: some dishes are amazing, others good, and some just Ok. The tuna salad was OK. The catch of the day on a bed of hummus was pretty good. But the two things that blew us away were the fig and cheese salad, and the brownie (light for a brownie, made with dark chocolate and tropical fruit puree). We only had dessert because the waiter insisted. And we're so glad we listened. Menu changes constantly, so I don't know what they are currently serving. this little spot is really tucked in the back between 2 monster places and a open corridor and if it is open i would say you need to try it. the wine list has a good selection other then they ran out of the rose we wanted :P they only had one glass left so they just gave use the last of the bottle it was so nice. the dinner we got was also very fancy and just perfect ! read more

What a great experience for our first night in Merida. I had to try a place that fuses Mexican with Mediterranean. The staff was incredibly nice and very attentive. We sat in the plaza near several other restaurants. There was live music outside and the weather was perfect. It was a really great night. The menu was small but all the options sounded very interesting. We ended up getting the mussels to share. They were cooked very nicely and seasoned well. We also got the ravioli and the pork for our main dishes. The pork was just a bit overcooked but everything else was perfect. We got a couple mixed drinks including a mojito and a mango margarita. Both were nice and very strong. The price was what you would expect for a nice meal in a great location. There is free wifi and it is pet friendly. read more

The duck was outstanding. Before we even ordered they brought us some tasty olives and some type of homemade hummus that we spread on cubes of cornbread type of bread which was delicious. The only great part of this restaurant was the service and the drinks. Pasta was way too al dente, shrimp was tough to eat. Two of my family members who both ordered the steak woke up with food poisoning (I knew it looked too pink than it should've been). The food is not worth the price. Enjoyed a delicious meal composed of great flavors and an innovative take on Mexican cuisine. Short ribs and lamb curry were both excellent as was the beet and burata salad with fennel and the octopus, potato and sausage dish for starters. Nice wine list and very much enjoyed the terrific music sitting outside on the plaza. The service, while friendly and earnest, did not rise to the food.
