I have been recommended Ro's Custard Creations for years and some have my friends used to inform me about the promotions. Great location off Main Street in North Canton. It was impressive how busy and well patroned Ro's was this afternoon. This is the first week of May with temps in the low 60's and quite a few customers were in hoodies standing in line. I love Nerds candy and honestly intrigued how many custard and frozen dessert location have Nerds as a blended mixture. The custard was fluffy in a marshmallow type texture. The concrete was good, but not my personal favorite. As far as the seating, plenty of benches, patio seating with umbrellas and even a water fountain connected to the outside of the building. First impression, the menu has no descriptions or pics of what anything is. No ingredients list of under any listings, so you have no idea what comes on any of the menu items. Lady at the counter was rather rude when asking questions. Ice cream was completely melted when they handed it to us. Taste was ok and price wasn't bad. read more

A tradtional Ice cream stand with soft serve vanilla, chocolate and twist and it was so creamy!!! We will go back again! Of course, they have all the tradtional toppings, sundaes, milk shakes and etc. Including Dole non-dairy and food ( hot dogs, etc). Great childhood memories coming to Ro's. Returning 20 years later and it meets the expectation of being that good. Great custard has a strong vanilla flavor, is smooth in texture and has a velvety creaminess to it. Ro's checks the boxes and is up there with my favorite Erma's in Michigan. For their hot fudge sundae they use hot fudge from a local chocolate/nut company (Heggy's) I am not a big fan of hot fudge, but Heggy's hot fudge I absolutely love. It is not super sweet so it doesn't have that coyingly sweetness that most hot fudge does. The hot fudge compliments the custard nicely and the peanuts add a salty crunch. It's a perfect combination of flavors and textures that will make your mouth smile. They also have dope whip with different rotating flavors. If you are a frozen custard fan or even if ice cream, you must stop by Ro's. read more

I just had the smallest 'Large' peanut butter Sunday that I ever had. Was not bad but tiny. Think I will stick to Pavs and Skoops.

A local favorite. When they open for the season, my family and I always make a trip, and go at least every week during the Summer months! We love their weekly Dole Whip and specialty flavors, but you can never go wrong with their delicious chocolate and vanilla soft serve. One of my kids loves their root beer floats the best. We just tried this place for the first time last week after hearing many RAVE reviews about it from friends. I got the custard flavor of the week (black raspberry) and my wife got the turtle sundae. Also, a warning - the custard menu is very small. Vanilla, chocolate, twist and the flavor of the week. If that's all you are going to offer, I expect it to blow me away. To make it short - I wasn't overly impressed. Don't get me wrong. I love frozen custard! I don't know if the machine settings were off or what exactly was going on but the custard had almost a whip cream texture/creaminess.....as in it seemed more like flavored whipped cream than ice cream. I work at a store that sells frozen custard so I know sometimes on hot days when the machine has a hard time keeping up this can happen. I definitely do want to give it another chance before I make my final call, but my first impressions were not great. To top it off, my wife said the sundae was ok. The toppings were great, but she has had better ice cream from other places. Like I said, I will be giving it another try at some point and will update my review if it ends up being any better. read more

Yesterday i took my wife and son to Ros for the first time and I'd have to say not only was I shocked by the sour taste of the "chocolate" custard but, was even more perplexed by the lack of manners exhibited by the young gentleman who couldn't have been older than 14. I also felt uncomfortable while a young girl and woman looked out the window at someone and then proceeded to talk as if they were 13 year old girls gossiping in the ladies room. My son ordered a small vanilla cone with sprinkles that could've easily been mistaken as a baby cone (he's gonna want to order a large now all the time !) And if you go to ro's....DONT order the chocolate, one of the girls tried it in front of me and proceeded to tell me that's how it always tastes..ew!! After driving past Ro's several times, my wife and I finally decided to stop in. We both got a concrete (similar to a DQ blizzard) and were both a bit disappointed. First, the good: The small was quite large, so the portions are great. Also the service was excellent as the girls in there were quite friendly. Now, the bad: When I read the other existing review, I though he was mistaken by saying they have a special flavor of the week. Indeed, they only have 1 flavor besides chocolate and vanilla (although they do have quite a variety of toppings). The concrete was not mixed well so that about 1/3 of each of ours was pure, unmixed custard leaving tons of Oreo/Reese's bits in the bottom of the cup. We are not huge fans of custard and Ro's didn't offer anything special to make us want to come back. However, if you are a frozen custard fan, you'll like this place, and I'm sure the poorly mixed concrete was not the norm. read more

So expensive for the size compared to other ice cream stands (I get ice cream around 2 times a week so I'm well aware of relative sizes) but the custard is so creamy. The custard here is amazing!! Always a great tasty treat to have. My only complaint is the fact that on google it has their hours as 1-9:30 PM on Sunday But when we came at 9:08 there were some costumers there and a couple cars leaving. They had apparently closed 22 minutes early even though they had business there! Beside that one incident this is a great place to get a tasty cold treat. read more

We moved down to North Canton in 2010 and stopped by Ro's on a whim on the way back from the YMCA (I know, mildly counterproductive) and I've been obsessed with their custard ever since. While my kids would rather go to Menchie's so they can load up their cup with toppings, I always choose Ro's when we're in the mood for a cold treat. We've been awaiting the opening of Ro's each spring since I was a kid. The custard is creamy and delicious.
