The baristas rushed to make the drinks for their friends, ahead of myself and another customer who was also waiting. Eventually, all of the customers who came in after me received their orders and left, while I was still waiting. The girls behind the bar started to socialize and then noticed that I was still waiting. The gal who took my order asked me what I had ordered. I told her and she said she didn't see it. Mind you, she was the same person who had taken my order and my payment. They eventually made my drinks and gave me a casual apology, but the whole encounter - preferential treatment given to their friends at the back of the line, and losing my order completely (despite taking my money) - really left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll take my business to the other coffee shop in town.

A few things we really enjoyed: first, even in a small-ish town they had plenty of non-dairy milk options that my wife could have. She got an iced 1/2 caff latte with almond milk and vanilla syrup and said it was very good both times. Second, and even better, they carry gluten free, vegan baked goods!! (See my review on Madelyn's). These are egg free, dairy free, and gluten free ! All very good and highly recommended. When we come back to the area for a longer visit we will definitely come back here!

I needed caffeine anyway for a long drive back home. I wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled up as the building is pretty plain from the outside, but I was excited that it had its own parking lot. I received a very warm greeting when I entered. The girl who took my order was so kind and we had a nice conversation about Matcha. River Road just got Matcha, so I was excited to be able to order that. It is unsweetened, which is great, because then you can control how sweet you want it. They also had a sign out front stating they made their pumpkin syrup in-house, so I got a regular Matcha latte with that pumpkin syrup and it was 6/5 stars! Oh my gosh, I wish I lived closer so that I could get it more often. The food menu looked delicious and if I hadn't just come from brunch, I would've grabbed something. They also have a little grab and go counter if you're in a hurry. The decor was simple, but cute. Two things I liked most were a drink, inspiration board listing so many different flavor combinations, and a Polaroid picture board of all the dogs who have come through the drive-through.

Has an option to sign up for membership discounts. The annoying thing is having to fill out information before ordering. Has a pretty big menu of beverages to choose. It has a lot of protein shakes with interesting flavors. The other choice is the flavored teas. It has a deal where it comes with both a protein shake and a tea for a combo. It's about $12 to get these in your choice of each. The price is pretty high for this. Herbalife powder is used in the shakes along with ice. The shakes and teas are pretty sugary. It's hard to say these are healthy. They certainly give you nutrients like protein. I like the Green Gusher. This is like green tea with Koolaid or something. It has shakes and teas that taste good. Maybe not healthy. This certainly is a better choice than the fast food around there.

We did not try any of the pastries but they looked good through the window. The service was pretty quick because only one "babe" was working the drive thru window and the walk up counter. All orders are to go unless you sit outside. I hope this business makes it through the winter months as the tourist season is over for Buckeye Lake when the water is let down for the winter.
