We went in to grab a dress shirt for my boyfriend today to wear for my birthday occasion and also…read moreanniversary photos that are taking place. We came prepared and brought a small sample piece of the fabric that my custom make skirt made out of red satin, so it would ease in finding a matching shirt. When he asked us if we were looking for anything in particular he had a very opinionated fashion sense. I stated that it was formal attire and that the looks needed to be complimentary. He offered two shirt selections one that was a very busy pattern of pinks and reds like a water colour art work and another that was bright blue and purple ombré with a flashy pattern. We ended up going with my selection that was black, red and white that was the closest colour shade to my skirt. I was sad to be told that they didn't have any plain black shirts with pockets so that he could choose the option of a hanker chief. So be sure you take into consideration what your colour scene is and what your goal is. All in all the stop was a success and he loves to stop in for shirts for special occasions.

My fiance and I bought his suit for the wedding at Rex Cox just after our engagement. Instead of…read moregetting the suit fitted at that time we decided to wait until closer to the wedding date to ensure the fit of his suit would be just right. Unfortunately, when we returned, the salesman who helped us was not professional or polite. The salesman who helped us on our second visit was the same one who helped us when we initially bought my fiance's suit but, this time, he had a completely different personality. When we arrived, the salesman loudly commented that my fiance had "definitely gained some weight" from our last visit. Not only did he make this comment loud enough for the entire store to hear but he continued to comment on the weight my fiance had apparently gained. On their website, Rex Cox states that "customer service has always been the foundation of our business" and "that the relationships with customers were equally as important as the high-quality menswear we offered". Considering these statements, I would have thought that the salesman would have treated my fiance, who was a customer, with respect and that the salesman would have acted in a professional manner. Making frequent comments about how my fiance had "definitely gained some weight" was not only rude but it was hurtful. Needless to say my fiance and I left Rex Cox and we have no plans to ever return!

I went the next day I received the jacket to return it in store at the Abbotsford location. the cashier goes to inspect the jacket, stating "there are lines on it", accusing me of wearing the jacket and washing it. Tags were still attached to the jacket with the packaging slip in the bag that I received it in. When asked about the service and accusations I received "I was just curious". Not only did the cashier leave a bad taste, there was no staff to be found on the floor for assistance.

Mark's has always been okay for general purposes. Over the years, I have purchased socks, shoes,…read moreshirts, shorts, and other sorts of things. I had never had a horrible experience there, but I have also never had a great experience. 'Tis like getting gas: it is good to know that there is a station when you need one, you are happy when you fill without getting over-gouged, and you are relieved when you are on your way. This morning, an older skinny blonde helper brought my rating down a notch. I searched their wide selection of durable jackets/coats, from casual to industrial. I found one that seemed alright, but I was hoping to find something that was longer. The helper asked me if I wanted help. I asked her if she knew if there were any longer jackets that I may have missed. "Well," she said, "I wouldn't know unless you put one on. Right?" I politely pointed to a couple of jackets that were high up on the wall, and wondered aloud if either of those may be longer than the one that I was holding. "Well," she said, "I have no idea. How would I know unless you try one on?" So I politely said, "I was just wondering if you knew offhand whether or not you have longer styles of jackets--perhaps even something at least kind of like a trench coat." "Well," she said, "We have mostly industrial grade stuff here. Nothing like that. You just have to try jackets on." I get it; however, there are MANY non "industrial grade" jackets there. I wish that you did not bother asking me if I wanted help. Considering that you did ask, and I kindly accepted your offer, you could have at least just said, "You've done what you could. Settle for the jacket you have in your hand," instead of trying to make me feel stupid. I will probably go there again someday; however, if I see the helper who knows little about customer service, I am walking out. By the way, I did not purchase the jacket.

The ladies had some successful browsing/shopping: Mom -- a lovely, semi-sheer, colourful (reversible too!!), summer-wear dress, and for daughter -- an attractive, light & colourful, blouse top. Each of their selections got a big "wow, and I like" from me!! Looking forward to summer and seeing them in each!! :-) Fun and enjoyable visits to this fine women's fashion shop in Harrison, and some cool, neat, and 'cool' findings came home!!

One thing I appreciated when I've gone there is that she was willing to work out a deal which is always a nice thing about a small business. Her service is friendly and it's a cute little boutique. I check it out every time I'm in town. I recommend checking it out if you're ever in that neck of the woods :))
