Sitting area with this great table for groups in the public area!

Loved it! Friendly staff, great location walkable to so many great bars, restaurants and shopping. Right across from Boyd's department store which is top-notch. The entrance is small, dark and not what you'd expect so arriving at night, our Uber driver had a very tough time finding it. And there are stairs outside and inside the entrance so lugging luggage is a bit of a chore and ADA folks may have issues. Also, there is not a restaurant or room service but anything you want is steps away. That said, we loved everything about it. It's more "extended stay" than hotel so it feels upscale homey. We wanted to move in. The public areas were warm and inviting and our room was more like a hip studio apartment which suited us well. The kitchen was fully outfitted and the bathroom was perfect. We had a corner room with a bunch of windows and loved it. We had a great time on our whirlwind week in Philadelphia and would absolutely stay here again.

I would give this place 20 stars! Absolutely the BEST accommodations I've EVER had in Philadelphia. Beautiful furnishings, upscale European appliances that you will have to google to figure out, landmark building in the safest and most lively neighborhood. Excellent attention to every detail and accommodating on everything else.

She was social, hospitable and provided recommendations for different things in the city. The hotel is convenient to everything and very walkable. We had a time! The room is spacious enough for two people and has a modern decor. The decor throughout the hotel, however, is like an ode to hip hop culture. If you know me, I love sneakers, hip hop and everything that is the culture! The decor speaks specifically to Philly icons -- Will Smith, Meek Mill, The Roots, Jilly from Philly (Jill Scott), etc. Whoever was the interior decorator did a great job with honoring those icons and the hip hop scene. The restaurant inside the hotel was great too. I don't have any complaints besides the steep valet prices. I will visit again.

I was upgraded in advance without even asking, which immediately set the tone for a seamless, elevated stay. The moment I arrived, the front desk greeted me with a warm welcome and a genuine thank‑you for being a loyal Hilton guest. That small gesture goes a long way, and it made me feel valued right away. This hotel has a boutique vibe while still offering the consistency and reliability of the Hilton brand. There's no Diamond Lounge here, which is totally fine -- the property makes up for it with thoughtful touches, great service, and a fantastic location that puts you right in the heart of the city. Plus, the $15 food & beverage credit is a nice perk that I definitely put to good use. Overall, the Canopy Philadelphia blends style, comfort, and hospitality beautifully.

No problem, there are other lots in the area and I like to walk anyway. To Hilton's credit, they mention this on the hotel web site. What stood out was the cleanliness and the service. All was clean and ready for us. Plus, Rahkya behind the desk was very gracious and helpful. Gus the bellman was personable and helpful. Shawnette and Aaron in the breakfast buffet were friendly and helpful. Everyone we interacted with, including the staff at the onsite restaurant were friendly and professional. I wish I could say the same about Philly drivers. I've been driving around a lot and that hasn't been much fun. Almost nobody makes eye contact or makes room. I've seen worse in other cities but bring your A game if you plan to drive here, in these small historic streets. Life is good with a comfortable stay using points.

We were a party of 4 in two separate cars: one party paid for parking in advance as a 'ticket and parking' package. The other did not. We arrived about 11:30 am for a Sat matinee. Lot was rather full, but more, the spaces were very narrow, which seems to be the case more often. There are only two elevators, and they also are exceedingly small, holding 5-6 adults max-which is an issue when the shows end and everyone is queued up to leave. Our biggest issue was discovering that the prepaid parking expired at 4 pm. Since we were staying for a post ballet dinner, we asked and were told that we would simply need to pay for the 1 hour difference. If only it had been simple; but no. Besides the fact that the booth attendant had a friend inside chatting to the point that we needed to honk to get attended, the attendant had no idea what to do with a prepaid ticket holder who was attempting to leave past the allotted time. Their default was charge us $30 (the rate charged the car without the prepay), making it $30 for one hour. We declined to pay that as that was not the posted hourly rate...and had to sit for more than 15 min and only due to the exceedingly long trail of cars queued behind us did the attendant finally charge the posted hourly rate and allowed us to leave. Provide better training on what-if" scenarios, extend the parking package hours from 4 to 5 to accommodate meals. Do better.

I could have chosen to stay at a hole in the wall small hotel nearby with no amenities for a decent buck or paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel connected to the airport. As I have an affinity for the Hyatt brand, I chose to stay at my first ever Hyatt Centric for the night and return to the airport the next day. I was pleased with the accommodations and the Hyatt Globalist benefits, and the customer service was excellent! I made the reservation quickly last minute to head to the Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia just before jumping in a rideshare to head there. By the time I arrived, I was informed that due to my Globalist status that I was upgraded into an Executive Suite with a king bed (in literally an hour or less since I made the reservation). Compared to a 234 square foot 1 King Bed Corner room, the Executive Suite with 1 king bed is 546 square feet. The Corner Suite, 1 Bedroom Suite, and Presidential Suite are all a bit larger, but I really felt that I had two rooms even though you could see from one part of the suite to the other easily. The decor was quite modern with floor-to-ceiling windows, a plush king bed, a chic sitting area with a sleeper sofa, and a modern bathroom with walk-in shower. There was also a 60" flat screen TV, blackout shades, mini-fridge, and more. I also took advantage of the Chromecast option to connect the TVs with your phone and also the comfortable robes while staying there. The hotel was in the heart of Rittenhouse Square with historic streets and nearby parks and restaurants. The front desk staff were most helpful and very friendly upon my arrival. As my toiletries and luggage were still at the airport and unable to be retrieved, I received samples of most toiletries upon checking in, and what they didn't have, they directed me to a nearby CVS. They also walked me through the Globalist benefits including the complimentary breakfast, that I was able to take advantage of at Patchwork Philly right on the same floor as the check-in. I did have to take an elevator up a floor from the entrance to get to the lobby, front desk, and restaurant. It was easy to navigate the hotel, and I felt right at home. I really like the World of Hyatt loyalty program, which you can read more about at https://world.hyatt.com/content/gp/en/program-overview.html. With each stay, you can earn points and redeem free nights starting at just 3500 points. There are many ways to redeem points, including free nights, suite upgrades, gourmet meals, experiences, and more. As you stay more and enjoy more experiences, you upgrade your tier status and continue to unlock unique awards and benefits. You can also get a World of Hyatt credit card which provides the first status level, elite qualifying nights, and bonus points along with a free night on your anniversary. When you reach the highest tier of Globalist, you receive late check out of 4 PM, guaranteed availability within 48 hours, welcome amenity at some properties, club access or breakfast, free parking on free nights, priority access to rooms, waived resort fees, bottled water, premium internet, and complimentary upgrades up to a standard suite. It is a great program that gives so much! If I am in Philadelphia again needing a night at a hotel, I'll certainly consider this one again!

To be fair, there was a pending snow storm over the weekend, so reservations were few, and it's 17 degrees outside. The first observations weren't good. We did advise the front desk of the issues, and they did attend to the bedding, but were unable to increase the temperature. (Note: We did ask other guests about this. Some said their room was "fine" temperature-wise, and others said their room was "hot.") The breakfast offered to all guests is basic: bagels, English muffins, hard-boiled eggs, juice, tea, and fresh fruit. Their coffee was delicious and an attendant was on top of the breakfast bar at all times. We thought the front desk and custodian did their best, considering the challenges. Nevertheless, the rooms weren't up to past standards. We're disappointed with our recent visit and hope standards improve.

My room also had a comfortable king size bed and complimentary sweet treats and champagne. With that being said, it was not my favorite luxury hotel stay compared to other Ritz-Carltons. Driving up to the hotel was confusing as there were no signs outside for the main entrance and the valet team was nowhere in sight. Usually, they would approach the car to help with luggage, but once they appeared they stayed huddled together and I had to approach them with my luggage and car keys. Once inside with my car sorted, check in was slightly busy, but I was able to get to my room within 10 minutes. The room was clean and smelled great, but the hallway showed the building's age. Throughout my stay there were additional inconveniences. The bathroom had cheap toilet paper and loud plumbing. The shower wouldn't produce hot water, even at 4am, so I had to take warm showers. The walls are very thin. I could hear my neighbor on a business call at 7am, and I could hear people in the hallway. The only guaranteed quiet a guest would likely have is if they booked a suite and stayed in the room furthest away from the hallway. Last, the Fitness Center was at least 78°. There were two box fans that failed at circulating cool air, and my attempt to be active was very uncomfortable. I love Ritz-Carltons, but the low quality service and offerings felt like a Courtyard impersonating one of Marriott's luxury brands and it was very disappointing. Cheap toilet paper and box fans should not exist inside a Ritz-Carlton. If it weren't for the view and spacious room, my rating would be lower.
