The only reason the kids score well is because every child is required to get expensive private tutors. 90 percent of the teachers are horrible, they hate teaching, they go on political rants, and they are absent more than the students. The kids vape in the bathrooms, and another children are afraid to go in there. No one cares about your child's learning. The school relies on its old South Tampa name, but it has gone extremely downhill. And the new principal doesn't seem like she is going to be any help. So sad to see a Tampa foundation crumble.

I went to a wedding ceremony here this past weekend and it was absolutely lovely. It faces the…read morewater and is right on Bayshore Blvd. It appears to be a school, but we only went to the church part. Our uber dropped us off in front, which was the main entrance to the church. We walked down a long hallway to get to the nave. It was a great spot for a ceremony. It was really intuitive and people from the bride's family were along the hallway guiding us to go forward. There was even the sign of the bride and groom which confirmed we were going the correct way. There was a gender neutral single bathroom in the hallway to the nave. This was my first catholic wedding ceremony and it was beautiful. There were readings and songs. My favorite part was when the priest shared some advice, guidance, and prayers for the married couple. He was very welcoming, kind, and encouraging. It was a great ceremony.

The campus is like a postcard, the teachers amazingly knowledgeable, kind, and professional, yet loving with the kids. The staff is magnificent. After the hurricane the school leadership, Mr. Salvo, acted superbly addressing safety, way ahead, and communicating with the parents how the response to the hurricane as a family was going as well as weaving the way ahead for the school insofar plans, strategy, and future. The Father and reverend at the church are warm and embracing all the faiths attending the school. We attend every chapel with our son. The teachers are always responsive, and the events are always very appropriate and joyful. Now our son will be learning the violin, and we are excited to see his progress. Being part of the St Mary's family gives us peace and warmth of heart. Academically superior.
