They are determined in their commitment and decisive with their strategies to make SJE better than ever. Middle school is tough socially...we all remember that! But the nurturing environment of the middle division helps the kids navigate these adolescent years. The teachers and administration foster the age-appropriate development for the kids, providing increasing autonomy as they advance through the program. Academically, SJE is un-paralleled. The only reason the kids score well is because every child is required to get expensive private tutors. 90 percent of the teachers are horrible, they hate teaching, they go on political rants, and they are absent more than the students. The kids vape in the bathrooms, and another children are afraid to go in there. No one cares about your child's learning. The school relies on its old South Tampa name, but it has gone extremely downhill. And the new principal doesn't seem like she is going to be any help. So sad to see a Tampa foundation crumble.

I filed a police report and went to school administration. They denied that this could happen as their kids didn't have a game on the given weekend. Later, they admitted loaning the field to a collegiate team, but would not pay for the window. It's my fault for not taking this to small claims court, as my window wasn't cheap.

I went to a wedding ceremony here this past weekend and it was absolutely lovely. We walked down a long hallway to get to the nave. It was a great spot for a ceremony. It was really intuitive and people from the bride's family were along the hallway guiding us to go forward. There was even the sign of the bride and groom which confirmed we were going the correct way. There was a gender neutral single bathroom in the hallway to the nave. This was my first catholic wedding ceremony and it was beautiful. There were readings and songs. My favorite part was when the priest shared some advice, guidance, and prayers for the married couple. He was very welcoming, kind, and encouraging. It was a great ceremony.

We have a 2nd and 5th grader and I've always been pleased with their teachers, the staff is very professional and has always been helpful when I had questions or when I was at the school to visit. The grounds of this school are so well kept, the security here gives me comfort as well, so many resource officers and lots of teachers out helping kids when it's time for final bell. Teachers are great at communicating here, we couldn't make it to our sons parent teacher conference so she called us and had a phone conference instead, they are so good at working around busy schedules too! Highly recommend this school to anyone in the area.

The staff would be genuinely abusive to students. The gym teacher(who to my knowledge still works…read morethere) put his hands on me any the stuff did nothing when the incident was reported. Multiple times I've been injured and they did not tell my parents at all, and it wasn't like small injuries, i choked at lunch and not a single word was told to any of my emergency contacts. In fourth grade ms.alou would yell and berate students and one time she tore apart my desk because she saw notes in there(did not yell at the kid i was passing notes with) then shamed me because my jacket wasn't completely clean knowing that my financial status hindered me from being able to wash it as regularly, also it was a stain. She called me disgusting in front of the whole class over a stain. The science teacher one didnt give me any work at all as a punishment, i sat back and did nothing. She was also heavily misinformed, we once had project on renewable energy sources and my friend was assigned to do hers on wind turbines, she mentioned the environmental impact that disposing of them could have ans the teacher would just say "hmm i don't know" until you said what she wanted, factual or not.
