Both my hygienist and dentist are thorough, gentle, and most importantly they both took the time to answer my questions and discuss concerns. Staff at front desk is also very pleasant and on-top of the insurance / appointment planning. So pleased with the professionalism I went back for some long over-due cosmetic work on chipped front tooth that had been very badly repaired in the past. Dr. Fitzgibbon did an amazing job fixing the damaged front tooth taking the time to make sure I was pleased with the work. Getting a lot of compliments already on the change! I truly appreciate the wonderful Maureen, to whom I spoke on the phone when I was desperately trying to find anyone to relieve my agony; while I was originally scheduled for 2 weeks out (yes, that's how busy it gets in Southern Maine) she kept checking for cancellations and managed to get me in much earlier. I had my first consult at the South Portland office, where the staff were all very helpful and Dr. Mitchell verified what we needed to do--and fortunately, they were able to get me in the next day (in the Windham office) for the removal! WHEW. Once there, the procedure itself was a breeze. The whole team was great: super professional, everything explained very clearly (including what the costs would be up-front), and both offices are cheerful and clean and seem to have all the up-to-date equipment. Between these two offices and the other in Biddeford, they seem to have a good system down for getting patients in when they need it. And they had a list of local recommended dentists for regular practice too, which is great for setting up longer-term care. I'll definitely come back to SMOM for any other oral surgery I find myself needing.

What is going on there??! It's like walking into the twilight zone. The xray tech didn't adjust the machine properly so it was hitting my shoulders when trying to take the xray. When finished, she told me to step back and the way the machine was lowered down, it caught my two front teeth, like it was going to rip them out. She said "go across the hall to the room". I'm standing there with the xray protection stuff on and was like.. "do you want this stuff back?" And laughed because at this point it felt like a joke. The xray tech was completely without expression the entire time like a failing robot. Then came the dental assistant who repeatedly came back into the room with questions she forgot to ask. She was so condescending and rude. I literally almost walked out during the intake. Completely expressionless and condescending, like I was not worth her time. It's a shame because the doctor, Dr Bradley, was awesome. But after that whole experience, I would never in a million years go back and will tell every one of my twilight-zone experience! Also, I can't wait to get a reply to this like the other one-star reviews, exhibiting a positive, "oh well" attitude, brushing me off and sweeping me under the carpet with all the others. This office LITERALLY couldn't care less. Dr Bradley deserves better representation then that. She should DEFINITELY go elsewhere to provide care!!!
