I love seeing the look on peoples faces when they add a loved one to their family. The best part is when they bring their pups in for visits, and they remember us like it was yesterday. I still see people who bought dogs from me 3 years ago, and they show me pictures of how big they got or how smart they have become. Plain and simple we love our dogs here. I reported to the staff that the dog was seriously submissive and that I was concerned he might think he was being abandoned. I expressed trepidation about leaving having witnessed the dog shake violently with a simple hair brushing session in the first week. Heather and her staff spoke softly and took time to let my dog feel safe in the new setting. They asked lots of questions and planned for a slow and gentle two hour experience to allow my dog to take breaks. To my surprise he quickly became acclimated which I am convinced was due to the generous spirits of the staff. I was able to leave feeling confident that my dog was in compassionate and competent hands. 90 minutes later I got the call to return for my pooch. He was handsome and happy! The staff reported he had a positive experience which was very apparent in his demeanor. Thrilled! The price was on the high side but I don't care. The establishment is immaculate, the setting warm and the staff highly skilled. These folks love what they do and it's represented in a variety of ways from the moment you walk through the door. It's a bit of a trek to get to this business and it doesn't look like anything special from the outside and that's okay too. They treated both me and my dog with heart and skill. That means everything.

My dogs and cats have been Glens Falls Animal Hospital clients for over fifteen years. I found…read moreeveryone nothing short of kind, thoughtful, and part of my pet's extended family. We have had numerous experiences here: first shots, maintenance care, and the worst reality- yet inevitable - loss of a beloved pet. Veterinary services are in high demand, and the staff at GFAH is nothing short of amazing. Is there a wait time once you arrive for a same-day appointment? Yes - they are squeezing you and your pet in between scheduled appointments. It's an unfortunate consequence. Additionally, in a post-COVID world, nothing is instantaneous anymore - the wait time results from the demand and available resources. Our experience with the Vet(s) has been nothing short of phenomenal. They are conservative and pragmatic and always leave the decisions regarding treatment to the owner. One of our German Shepherds had cluster seizures that began at the age of three. They gave us a life expectancy of five years - with their constant monitoring and guidance, he lived to be ten. We have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Today, we had to take one of the chi's in because she has stopped eating (except for baked chicken breast) and she's throwing up (sometimes) with bad bowels. We've been worried sick; changing up her food to interest her, etc. Yet, her attitude and behavior is still happy, alert and sweet. Dr. Kevin checked her out and agrees; she's okay. Gave us some meds for diarrhea (flagyl-which I love!) and something to try to stop the vomiting (which is pretty random). We had a VERY nice meeting with him and are so relieved. But, mostly happy to have finally met him! We've been "patients" of GFAH since 1975 so it's nice to feel a confidence and familiarity with our Vet. Thank you, Dr. Kevin!

When we spoke with Karen she explained that they only board 7 dogs at a time, and take care to reduce health risks. When we visit the area again we will definitely return to Maple Lawn B&B.
