We boarded our English bulldog for four nights while we went on a camping trip in the Adirondacks. We were nervous about boarding him at our local spot in Manhattan during Covid-19, and found this place through a good review on Yelp. When we spoke with Karen she explained that they only board 7 dogs at a time, and take care to reduce health risks. Our bulldog had a great time, with lots of one-on-one time to play with the owners and other dogs boarding. Also a plus is that their fees are so much more reasonable than kennels in Manhattan. When we visit the area again we will definitely return to Maple Lawn B&B. read more

Chastised by the owner after I brought my 6 month lab to them for a weekend. I've never felt like a bad pet owner in my entire life until I came here. I don't know if their dogs are perfect but man was I made to feel horrible. Would not pay ever again to have my dog in a fenced in area in a garage filled with other dogs. Didn't meet the husband but the wife was enough. If you really want a good space for your dog please check out Milton Manor near Saratoga where your dog will have its own private shed. That way if your dog is barking during times the owner doesn't approve maybe she can just tune it out. read more

Wow! Where do I even begin? We just returned from a three week vacation to Europe and never worried once about our big boy. You may rest easy knowing that Rich and Karen offer the highest quality of pet care available for your fur baby. Seeing as our "fur babies" weigh between 200 to 270 pounds that's a pretty tall order. Caring for an English Mastiff is a serious undertaking and not for every dog boarding facility. Before we four Maple Lawn we had been informed by a few pet sitters that "I'm sorry, he's too big" or "We are not set up for dogs that large" While Karen and Rich love all dogs, Rich has a special place in his heart for huge dogs. Our big boys have always bonded well with Rich to the point that getting them to leave and hop in the car literally becomes quite difficult. So what makes this place different? Why choose them? This is our take on the equation. While several boarding facilities have acceptable accommodations, it's the one on one emotional interaction between your dog with Karen and Rich that makes checking your baby into this Canine Club Med the obvious choice. These are two retired individuals who have devoted the remainder of their lives hosting people's pets. You'll feel their passion when you meet them and be making your doggie very happy. I found this place while visiting lake George on long weekend of labour day! Needless to say that this area is quite different than Manhattan- place I had looked up online - they wanted reservation as apparently they have kennels and unlike the city, can't take in dogs while someone watching them constantly. The owner called me back within 2 min of leaving voice message. She was very nice and accepted our Samoyed for that day and even next one. Place was clean, nice, well made, they even had a plastic pool along with having a yard for dogs! Price was reasonable and the best thing was scenic drive to this place!!! One of the most beautiful roads you will see in North America. She told us that they do long term boarding and can even pick up dogs from the city (Manhattan). We have a permanent place for our dog while visiting finger lakes! read more

We are so fortunate to have found Karen and Rich and Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit! What a gem! We recently moved to upstate NY from Boston and had been searching for a trustworthy dog boarding/sitter option for our dog Roo. Roo is a well behaved, energetic four year old lab/pit/terrier mix that does not get along with all dogs. When leaving him in the hands of other people, we prefer an environment that he will not be socialized directly with other dogs but will still get love, attention, and the ability to run around and release energy. Karen and Rich provide this safety and security, one-on-one attention, and love for Roo that is so rare to find. Their facilities provide ample room for any sized dog both in the crates and the recreational area outside. The environment is perfectly homey for the dogs, extremely clean, and stocked with all of the dogs favorite toys. We had the opportunity to first introduce Roo to Karen and Rich and also a trial day where Roo stayed the day at Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit. Most recently, we had the pleasure of bringing Roo to Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit for a 6-night stay. We felt comfortable leaving him and received messages and facebook pictures throughout our trip indicating Roo was doing very well. Upon pick-up he was his normal happy dog-self-- happy to see us and still very comfortable at Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit. Once we got home, he was exhausted--passed out on his bed. With this, we know he had a safe and engaging time at Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit. Given our experience at Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit, we continue to trust Karen and Rich with Roo and have already scheduled his next overnight stay. We highly recommend Karen and Rich of Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit to any dog and dog owner! read more

Family owned, boutique dog kennel--space for ~6 dogs. Beautiful and clean facility with personalized attention and care for each dog. Large, gated outdoor space with lots of play time. My husband and I live in Boston and ski at Gore Mountain and spend time in the Lake George area in the summer. We have a large golden retriever mix and it's comforting to know she safe and happy for the weekend!! Added bonus is a pick up service so we don't even have to leave the hotel! read more

My boyfriend and I were going up to Gore Mountain to snowboard this past weekend and last minute, I called the Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit to see if they could help out with my dog, Angie while I was at the mountain. First of all, I absolutely love the name the owners chose, Bed and Biscuit is both a clever and adorable name. Anyway, upon arriving, I was very pleased to see a beautiful set up with comfortable looking kennels. The owners also put a bed and blanket in my dogs kennel. They are very roomy and in a finished garage with lighting and heat. There is also a door that leads right to a fenced in yard area which is perfect for the dogs to run around. At the bed and Biscuit, they even took extra measures to put meat and gravy in Angies food, which she loves. The owners will treat your dog as if it is there own and they are such lovely people. I would 110% recommended Maple Lawn Bed and Biscuit to anyone who needs a place for their dog because your dog will be safe and happy for sure and with wonderful people. They are definitely dog lovers. I will definitely bring Angie back again next time I'm in the area. read more

We can't thank Karen and Rich enough for taking excellent care of our girls. My son had a destination wedding in Lake George, we stumbled upon Karen and Rich, we took a chance, best chance we ever took! Denali and Sierra had never been in a kennel, we were very worried, they are 11 years old, but Karen and Rich assured us they would be well taken care of, just like their own! And they were right!! It was a hot trip the day we dropped them off, we had called to say it was taking longer due to needing to take extra breaks, Karen had the kiddie pool filled when we got there. Being labs, we know they love the water, but Sierra actually just laid in the pool cooling off! At that point we knew we made the right decision! Thank you for giving us peace in mind, while allowing us to enjoy my son and daughter in law's beautiful wedding! The kennel is spotless, with plenty of room for them to roam, even a couch to rest on! They thought if everything! You won't be disappointed! Thanks again Karen and Rich! read more
