Two and a half years, yes, two and a half years to finally complete a simple roof job with no visible leaks! Two and a half years of water intrusion leading to damaged ceilings, walls and buckled floors. Not to mention visible mold! Two and half years of finger pointing, playing the blame game and sending clueless workmen to "finally fix the problem." What a disgraceful business model!
We called and called about water intrusion every time it rained. It was so easy for Pamela to blame the A.C. company. Her roof was "done perfectly. It has to be the air conditioner." We called the A.C. company. They came out to make sure everything was properly installed. Next rain, more leaks. I proposed a quick on site meeting between the roofers and the A.C. company so between the two, they could figure out where the issues were. Both companies agreed to a date. Pamela No-showed. This led to the A.C. company not wanting to deal with us any longer. Roofing Reina always sent Chris out to check the roof, never fixing it and never really attempted to find the problem. Pamela insisted it was the A.C. so since this was her only solution we went ahead and hired another A.C. company. We requested that they seal the doghouse because Roofing Reina insisted that was the problem. We spent $775 to reseal doghouse and the next rainstorm water poured into our home. I called new AC company who came to check the doghouse as well as the drip pan .It was investigated and found to not be the doghouse or drip pan overflow. Roofing Reina was contacted again via email since it's been such a long time, and their work was guaranteed. Pamela, the owner of Roofing Reina, sent someone out again to check. This time it wasn't Chris. Thank God Carlos was the one who came out. He surveyed the situation, and he pointed out the cut flashing and poorly sealed legs of the AC stand, which were the roofer's responsibility to properly seal when the new roof was installed. Then Carlos and his assistant finally sealed all areas of concern as well as others he himself found, such as the sunlight and drainpipes. Finally, the next rainstorm proved the roof installation had horrible issues that were finally resolved by Carlos.
He sent us photos of cut flashing and poorly sealed areas which lead to ceilings, walls and floors that have been destroyed by constant water intrusion. This will all have to be repaired/replaced. Roofing Reina's negligence caused all of these problems, including having to call another AC company to reseal doghouse which was never the problem and incurred additional costs needlessly. Their flood tests where they blamed the doghouse was actually the legs of the AC stand that lead to water intrusion.
Our last contact was a brief phone conversation where my wife tried to state our concerns. This ended with Pamela, the owner stating, "Then sue me" and hanging up on my wife. Excellent customer service is far from the truth! Pamela, you fired employees that installed the roof at our property as you stated for a reason, yet you never took accountability for the damaged caused to our home. During the process I was never informed of additional charges and then was told it was an additional 3k. When you came to collect the additional charges, we never said too bad sue me we paid you. Had we known the nightmare job you and your business produced and the lack of responsibility and accountability to correct it in a timely fashion I now regret being a good customer and paying as requested. Do what is right for your customers! read more
