The quote started at an inflated number clearly designed to be negotiated down, but the bigger issue was the attitude. Their operations manager, Tim, managed to turn a simple estimate into a mansplaining session--including explanations of how water flows downhill. I would have happily considered the product if the interaction had been respectful and transparent. Instead, it was condescending and frustrating from start to finish.

FINALLY we got to a price, and and OMG wow, because he liked us so much he was willing to give us a 50% discount from his original price, just because, ummm, i forget what special discounts we we eligible for, something like people with a 3rd toe longer than the second toe, or something like that qualified us. Anyways, when he FINALLY stopped talking, my wife and I went to discuss it. I wanted to refuse based on principle. Any salesman who treats us like total idiots, doesnt deserve to get a sale....but....Are we actually going to get a better price when we include taking another half day off work to sit through the same spiel from the next company? So despite my anger, I swallowed my pride. Honestly, the eaves are a far better quality than my old ones. The installers did a good job (although it hasn't rained yet to see if everything is working right), but if you think you are ever going to get me to recommend you to a friend after the "Used Car salesman 101" sales tactics, you are wrong. Congrats....You got my money. If you came, took measurements, gave me the price (the real price, not the price minus some BS discounts) I would be recommending you to everyone I know. I got a good product, installed well, but I will NEVER call your company again. This was one of my worst buying experiences ever....despite being happy with the product.

During the Covid pandemic, I called a number of roofers to reshingle a small garage, noting that…read moreconstruction was considered an essential service. They all, with one exception, assured me that they would look at the job "next week". Of course, I'm still waiting for those roofers. The exception was A2Z Roofing, who looked at the job the same week and provided a written estimate the next week. To help us decide, they provided pictures of the shingles as well as the manufacturer so we were able to see the colour and quality of their work. Within a week of accepting the estimate, A2Z finished the job and cleaned up in an afternoon. They gave plenty of warning so we could get the car out of the garage. They even cleaned inside the garage to ensure that there weren't any nails for my tires to roll over when I put my car back in the garage. I appreciate A2Z responding when others didn't and I appreciated the personal care they gave us on our small renovation.
