I visited Upland Auto Trim on the recommendation of a close friend who lives on 9th Street in Upland. When I met Larry, I immediately got a good vibe. He was courteous, professional, polite, and seemed like an extremely honest business owner. He agreed to match the quote I had received from another auto upholstery shop in Ontario and so I went ahead and scheduled the installation with him. He originally told me it would be about 2 days worth of labor, but to my surprise I ended up getting a call from him in 1.5 days. The interior looks absolutely amazing and I couldn't be happier. We were looking for affordable covers for our 1994 Roadtrek camper van. We saw good reviews in a…read more"classic" year RT group on FB. We decided to check them out. On seeing that they offered free samples we wrote to the company directly from their website. It took a few days to get a response, but we were assured the samples would be shipped right out. They took 4 weeks. When after waiting for a delivery, we emailed again and were told that they would "check with shipping and get back to us" They never did. So, we called, and the person e reached looked for the order and couldn't even find it. He promised to get them shipped asap, we'd been waiting 4 weeks by then. The samples arrived a few days later. We made our color, fabric choice and paid the invoice in full. When we asked about turn over time we were told, by the email correspondence that it would be 6-8 working days before they were shipped. We mentioned the possibility of receiving them before our next trip and the email correspondence said she'd "put a rush on the order" We didn't have any expectations and our trip came and went with no emails about shipping or anything else. By now it was well over the 6-8 days. We emailed, once again, and the next day decided to call as well. Emailing seemed to take 24 hrs for most responses, calling we were able to actually talk to someone. From here it gets even more frustrating. On the phone we were told the order would be ready by the end of that week to ship. Then we received an email stating the order had been lost when production had a question, and put the order off to the side and everyone forgot about the already paid for order. Long story short, we finally received the covers 6-8 WEEKS after they said we would have them. Disclaimer, if we had been told it would be 6-8 weeks, we would have been disappointed but at least aware. However, that is not what we experienced. In the end Design covers did do a good job and made efforts to make it right,. All of which we appreciated. We'd give the covers themselves a 4 star review the covers are very nice and we're happy with the end results. The 3 stars are for the communication and hassle it involved. Be aware there is serious communication issues between email correspondence, office and production.
