    Coffee milk it's all gone
    Edgar B.

I love this milk, I'm addicted to their coffee milk and can't stop drinking it. I mean addicted! Please consider adding your coffee milk into pints or half gallon bottles. This company also offers chocolate milk along with yogurt that will nock your socks off.

3:37pm - On Saturdays they close at 3:00pm

I love the drinkable yogurt and milk in glass bottles! Ronnybrook Farms is so lovely, with such happy cows, I was surprised to see that their store upstate is merely a closet! They aren't really set up for visitors, so if you want a good selection of their products, you're better off checking out their location in Chelsea Market.

Tried it last week and loved it [the milk] . Tasty ,rich and a little pricey. But I bought it again this week.

The chocolate milk is full fat, full calorie and not too sweet so it really has a nice texture to it.

I was quite floored by the former and impressed enough by the quality of the latter to write an uncharacteristic review for an establishment I've never visited or interacted with directly. But let me just tell you about that yogurt! I don't often enjoy plain yogurt all by its lonesome, without honey or fruit compote, or as an ingredient in cold cucumber soup or raitha. Chaseholm's plain, whole milk yogurt was so good I was reluctant to adulterate it with anything else. Texturally just a touch thicker than kefir, with the rich mouthfeel of full fat, the flavor is mild and easy-going, but not so mild as to be uninteresting (e.g. Dannon). I don't think I can remember a plain yogurt I enjoyed more. Farmer's cheese is a fresh, unaged cheese made by mixing cow's milk with an acid (eg lemon juice, vinegar). It's a close cousin of cottage cheese (which I despise); paneer (meh); and cream cheese (a lot more enthusiastic). Truth be told, farmer's cheese is not my favorite type of cheese, but this version was surprisingly charming. The garlic and chives were present, but not at all overwhelming, and the texture creamy enough to spread it on our favorite everything bagels (from Tal). I firmly believe that happy cows make the most delicious milk. (There's a dairy farm we like in CT that keeps calves with their mothers and only takes some of the milk meant for the calf -- something called the Madre Method, I think. The milk produced there is scrumptious.) Based on the products we've tried, I'm willing to bet the cows at Chaseholm Farm are happy!

If you live near Pleasantville, NY, definitely check them out on at the Saturday market. I also saw yogurt available in plain and maple varieties. Camembert was rich and creamy. But Jake's baby gouda (aged 2-4 months) stole the show today. It is a traditional style handmade hard Dutch cheese.

I can't believe there aren't more reviews about this amazing farmers market. Granted, it's not as…read morebig as other FM's but you can find a lot of great gems here, we left loaded with goodies. I counted at least 4 stalls selling different kinds of produce, one of them I bought heirloom apples from where the outside looked like a granny smith, but the inside was pink; super cool and delicious! Also, ended up buying a bottle of bourbon from the Berkshire distillery stall to give as a gift so this is especially convenient if you're from out of town and want to give friends and family local goods. I think the thing we were most impressed with is that there were two stalls offering handspun alpaca yarn. One of the stalls had a flyer with details about what kind of alpaca breed the yarn is from and where the farm is located. (see pic) I thought that made the shopping experience extra special especially as someone who crochet's and is interested in where the yarn comes from. Another interesting item we bought were heirloom garlic bulbs that were bright purple. They're little but one clove has the potency of like 10 garlic cloves; really cool find! Also bought local made soap, farm fresh eggs, and baked goods. Again, even though it's not a very large farmers market, I consider this to be one of the best I've visited; would absolutely make a trip out here again.

I was able to find lots to eat even though I'm gluten free and dairy free. I ate and tasted my way through. It's harvest time, but it had a ton of beautiful local produce. So check it out!

If you live in Woodstock or happen to be there on a Wednesday between June and the end of October,…read moredo yourself a favor and take a stroll through the Woodstock Farm Festival between 3:30 and dusk. Actually, if you live here you are probably cursing me right now in hippie speak because you have been coming here for 20 years.* Actually, if you live here, you probably aren't looking up your favorite farmer's market on Yelp so I'll just have at it. In 12-15 vendors or so you will find everything that you need to eat healthy and well. From meat to vegetables to fruit to other more savory items (pie, honey), you can easily do your shopping for the week sans beverages. It's an extremely friendly and community oriented atmosphere, accepting of anyone who wants to partake in the festivities. As a side to the market on Maple St., there is a flea market area where there are also food vendors, tents and picnic tables to enjoy your food and some live music. If you are lucky, you will even get to witness some dancing that has probably been going on here since the actual Woodstock. Get a couple tacos from Black Eyed Suzies and do yourself a big favor and get some pretzel bread from that nice lady with the pretzel stand. If you really want to treat yourself, get a chocolate filled pretzel croissant. Actually, get three and send me one...or all three. With Woodstock not full of too much to do at night, this market that spills over into the evening is the perfect opportunity to eat, shop, mingle with the locals and enjoy the cross section of Woodstock that makes it such a relaxing and inviting place to spend some time. _____________ *Sorry.
