Great staff, on time, followed through on instructions…read more The vet that treated my puppy was amazing. He suggested we reduce the itch meds she'd been taking. It seems like her harness makes her itch. Without wearing it at home, and stopped the meds. She doesn't scratch at all. Genius!! Thank you.

While shopping our puppy was in the trailer, when we came back there was blood everywhere. Turns out military jets were flying low over the trailer and spooked the puppy. He must have caught one of his nails on something and pretty well pulled it out. There we were in a strange town, towing a large travel trailer with a blood soaked, scared puppy. I did a search and found The Pet Medical Center just a couple of blocks away. I phoned and explained the situation. They told me to bring him right over and I could put the trailer in the parking lot. We carried him into the office, they were waiting for us and met us at the door. He was on the table in 30 seconds and getting treatment right away. I was worried about blocking their parking lot and was invited to put my trailer in an open field behind the office. We told Letty (at the front desk) that we were going to go into the trailer and make some lunch since we'd been on the road all morning. She volunteered to drive us to a local restaurant and pick us up when we finished eating. During lunch she called to say Ace was ready to go and doing fine. To top off the story we have pet medical insurance and they allowed me to use their computer and printer to print out a claim form, filled it out and faxed it in for me!! Don't delay - this is the place to go in the Basin.

Shasta View Animal Clinic - Mishka..last moments of life in pain..because of Shasta view NOT FOLLOWING PROTOCOL

Terri, the vetenarian, and all the staff, especially Erin, are just the best that I have ever come across. They get to know the personality and health needs of the hundreds of doors we have brought through the practice. Clean, down to earth, happy and many, many years of expertise from everyone. No unnecessary medications or tests. Prices and speed of seeing our dogs is better than any other vet we have been to. Boarding facilities are great. Care of the worried 'parents' is wonderful. A true comprehensive and experienced vetanary experience.

As a result my girls last moments on earth were her in my arms howling out in pain, not once but twice. The response from the tech performing the euthanasia.."oh. They do that sometimes '. The fact that she seemed so flippant and that this occurrence was the norm should in itself say YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. After calling several times after this horrific experience I NEVER received a call back. Wks went by. I wanted to get them to do what EVERY other clinic does ....FOLLOW PROTOCOL with regard to offering and discussing a tranquilizer but they NEVER returned various calls.....instead ..a big fat WE DONT CARE I will be forever haunted that my girls last 30 seconds or so ... in excruciating pain in my arms and I was responsible for trusting this non compassionate arrogant business. Frankly .Shasta view really sucks and they have no business caring for animals when they openly display such a complete lack of caring and compassion. I can only hope someday shasta view vet will be repaid in kind ...with pain at the end.

I was really happy with our visit! Spotless, large waiting area, friendly staff, spacious exam rooms and Dr. Carrie Hill was great with our ill pup. After two weeks my cat went to the follow up appointment but was given back to me in a hurried manor. It did not seem that he got his fluids or antibiotic shots. I called back and the scheduled another appointment for the next day. The doctor agreed the antibiotics were not given and said she then gave them. After that appointment my cat's condition worsened. It seemed the care was untrustworthy. I checked the receipts and found that the injections were not antibiotics. I called the office and was told the cat had a minor urinary tract infection so that is why the antibiotics were only given the first day of treatment. I thought this was strange because the doctor told me at least three times, antibiotics were being administered. I asked for a copy of the urinalysis and it shows there was a bacterial infection and not a urinary tract infection on the first day. The receptionist asked what did I want because my cat was on hospice care and that she could set an appointment for another urinalysis if I wanted. It seemed I was not receiving honest information and I spoke with the doctor and she denied everything. She said the cat got antibiotics twice. Even the receptionist said it was only once as I understood the receipts. In all these conversation not once did anyone ask how my cat was doing. At a check up I told the med tech that my cat was constipated and from the back room , the doctor sent up a laxative. I saw the doctor for one more examination . She did not comment on any findings or respond when I told her his hips were wobbly. My cat was supposed to be receiving care to make him comfortable. I went to another vet and was told that his constipation was severe. He could not possibly be comfortable and his wobbly hips indicated a condition that likely required emergency medication. Every time I paid for services over this 6 weeks, the receptionist gave me a greedy creepy smile. I believe I received a lack of compassion and a lack of skillful care and that I should have been referred elsewhere.
