If I could give zero stars I would. I took my one year old cat to get neutered, filled out the paperwork and was told I would be called for an update. I dropped him off at 8am and didn't hear anything by 1 and so I called and was told he was doing well and could be picked up after 2:30pm. I was still working and arrived at 4, waited for him to be brought out from the back and two blocks down the road he started having a seizure. I filled out the form that morning stating he would get fluids and pre surgical blood work. After the fact I found out he wasn't given fluids and I requested my paperwork and was told by the receptionist I could not have it until she asked Kari Hill, the vet. They were acting suspicious and I knew in my gut something was wrong. She even said "I can't give you the paperwork until I ask Kari but I can have her call you or you can wait," I waited and was led to an exam room where she said "we found a problem with your paperwork" and tried to get me to sign a paper stating I wouldn't say anything on social media or sue. Her exact words were "I will make it right with you but you have to make it right with me." I was totally taken back by her comment because nothing can make it right she cannot undo the damage she did to my cat. I had to walk out because I was so upset. She offered to refund the neutering fee but stated I still had to pay for the medication. I was sick to my stomach over my encounter. I then called her to ask why I wasn't called or why he wasn't given the fluids as stated on the form and she continued to say it was a miscommunication. I asked if it's normal practice not to check paperwork prior to procedures and she had no answers she pretended to have an emergency patient come in and hung up the phone and said she needs to talk to an advisor before talking to me. I told her at this point I will report you to the veterinarian board and I am going to file a suit against her. He has had additional seizures and he's not the same cat anymore. I don't even know if he'll survive. I would have never consented to anesthesia without fluids. I work in the medical field and it is below the standard of care. I requested his records and she then proceeded to falsify records stating I verbally declined fluids!!! I wouldn't decline something that was included!!! I was not even talked to about the paperwork I filled it out, paid, and left for work. Turns out they gave me the wrong form and instead of calling me to discuss it or to ask if she could proceed she neutered him, left him on a cage without fluids after he had fasted the night before and sent him into a metabolic crisis. He is an indoor cat that is not around any other animals. He was healthy and happy and not once did she apologize or try to make it right. I even questioned her on why she would even proceed without fluids if the form I signed said fluids included and she said it was a miscommunication. She cut corners to save money and obviously her intentions were never to safely neuter him. She then charged me for the medication to keep him from seizing. I am disgusted by the dishonesty and the shady business she is running. For her to lie on records to try to cover her own ass instead of being truthful or sympathetic is beyond my ability to understand. The form I filled out was for a canine but regardless if she looked at the document prior to neutering she would have seen what I consented to but it appears she is neutering and spaying without giving fluids or checking paperwork.
