Bike friends. I'd like to start with an apology if you've ever been into Ronde, and coveted the bikes here, because I bought one recently and it's lovely and I love it and it's mine so you can't have it so there.
I really like Ronde, all the guys working here are mega friendly, and clearly all love bikes. I've witnessed much fond swapping of bike stories, and they were very happy to chat about my cycling needs before explaining what they had for my meagre budget. Ronde definitely isn't a beginners bike shop. You're not really going to find much entry level stuff here, but they will order something in for you. I think if you find yourself looking for a good deal I'd check out their clearance bikes at the start of the year because you could snap up quite the bargain.
Aside from the bikes, which are the main here, they're definitely an outfitters. They've got a decent variety and clothing, pedals, shoes, wheels, tyres, tubes. If you want to customise your set up then they've got all sorts of stuff and a big whack of knowledge of what's out there.
The one thing I've not had the pleasure of trying out is the little cafe that occupies half of one side of the shop. Which brings me round to what *really* makes Ronde great. They're proper enthusiasts. They run group rides, you can meet other riders here. They're fostering a community here. All of the thumbs up for these guys. read more
