Adrienne is fantastic. Thorough, knowledgeable, sweet and very helpful. She's a great physiotherapist and I highly recommend her.

The muscles in the leg atrophied significantly. I am 66 so this was going to be a difficult process starting with a knee splint and crutches. A friend recommended SEMI for the rehab. I met Melanie Gordon and she put together a program to get me going again. Amazingly, by mid-November the knee was basically back to its old flexibility and almost back to its full strength. It is such a relief for an active senior! Melanie regularly reviewed my progress, manipulated the knee and continually changed the exercise program based on my progress but also listening to my concerns. And a great cheerleader for those times when you feel like you are not progressing as fast as you would hope. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend SEMI and Melanie for any physical rehab program.

In April of this year, I felt my ankle twist while standing still and continued to go to gym and hobble. A good friend of mine saw my ankle and said, You need to see Dr Stoddard at Semi I called and spoke to Regina that night and she made an appointment for me to see Dr Stoddard..... first MRI, then back to see him, talk of fracture, xrays to confirm and I was in an air cast. I was referred to Melanie Gordon and started active physio. On June 29 I got my cast. As the summer progressed, I was able to see results. Got the cast off on November 7, allowed to walk more, up to 20,000 steps (before I was doing 35,000) and with further physio, I will continue to improve. I owe a lot to Dr Stoddard, Melanie Gordon, the wonderful front desk staff, Regina, Roxanne and Courtney who made ever visit wonderful. Thank you! I tell everyone who has ever been hurt to call! Melanie is exceptionally warm and welcoming, and every time I leave from a treatment, I feel so much better than when I walked through the door. I received a deep tissue massage from Jessica just last week and in one hour she was able to work out months of muscular imbalance and stress. This community is second to none, I highly recommend checking it out.

My initial…read moresession was scheduled via their website that sent me a reminder for the date and time; easy peasy lemon squeezy considering a good number of us are glued to our smartphones daily. I arrived at my session a little bit early and from a first glance, the clinic was clean and bright. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me promptly. Dan met with me to discuss what my goals are, asked me to stand straight, do a few basic exercises like squatting down, balancing on each leg and touching my toes. He then examined my posture, and we came to an agreement that I wouldn't need more sessions beyond 2. He was happy to show me the homework exercises in their mini gym and correct/modify anything you may be doing incorrectly. Dan was so eager to send me my homework that I received it in my inbox 5 minutes after leaving the building. He is an absolute gem in the neighbourhood. While there may not be heaps of reviews on Yelp about BP Physiotherapy, the clinic does have rave Google reviews! They have fair prices and accept insurance. No Amex unfortunately :(

Dimpee Shah was the physiotherapist assigned to me and I can't recommend her enough. Besides being friendly, she is also very knowledgeable and has been using a variety of therapy methods on me ... cupping, TENS machine, heating pads and dry needling. When I started seeing her, the pain level in my hip was 13/10 ... now it's back to my "normal" 1/10. My left knee has started to bother me (probably because I was compensating because of my right hip) so she is working on that now with the same methods.

This review has been a long time coming!…read more When I first came here 2 months ago, it was because I thought I needed just a quick session of shockwave therapy for my stiff shoulders. Meanwhile, Julia Rudecki showed me how, with regular appointments and exercises I could do at home, I could help my body do better in the long run. What sets Julia apart from other physios is that she really takes the time to give people the tools to understand how to treat their bodies better. Because of her, I've upgraded my workspace and I've started going to the gym! In addition, she pays out of her own pocket for her clients to access this incredible app called Embodia, where she puts all of the exercises she suggests for you. The app is set to your specific needs, and there are videos of each exercise for you to follow along, and notifications on your phone to encourage you to follow through! I've been telling my friends about how cool it is that my physiotherapist uses this app, and everyone agreed that it'd make much more of a difference than the random piece of paper that other physios send home (because we all know that this paper gets lost and nobody does the exercises, right?). Seriously, if any part of your body is bothering you, go see a physiotherapist. It's not just about neck and shoulders; they can help you with everything! Because of Julia, I've tried shockwave therapy, dry needling, cupping, and more! I'm super grateful for how much she's shared with me. When she leaves to manage Triangle's Queens Quay location, she'll be missed, but I know she'll be amazing wherever she goes. (And if you're near Queens Quay, go find her!)
