The massage was so good, and Anton was very experienced and diligent. I checked in, and was treated to water or tea. After filling in a consent form, I was led to the massage quarter by Anton. It was a mattress on the ground with some pillows, with some see through curtains offering limited privacy. There were dimmed and colourful lights, with some groovy exotic background music. I was given a T-shirt and some loose drawstring pants to change, and then Anton walked me through the process. He told me to relax all my muscles - to not resist nor help him in my movements - and that he'd start from the bottom and move upwards. The massage lasted for an hour, and it was the right balance of intensity and comfort. Some parts were of stronger pressure, but when the massage ended, I was so relaxed that I was near asleep! I loved the experience, and will definitely return!

Note that if you're looking for somewhere to relax, the focus on feet here is more geared towards reflexology. I was super happy with the service and value. Also the amount of effort she put into the job. I asked for 45 minutes which is $50 cash and seems a fairly standard price in Chinatown. The pace was much faster than I'm used to and it seemed that I almost got the usual 90 minutes worth in 45. Of course it's not the same, but quite impressive amount of work over the 45 minutes with no downtime or inefficiency. The room was small, clean and quiet, although I went in the evening when it wasn't busy. There was soft Chinese folk guitar twanging playing quietly in the room and the lighting was nice. The white disposable sheet on the table was great. I met two ladies when I went in, and it seemed like they were the only ones there. One was better at English. The one that massaged spoke only Chinese with rudimentary "ok" in English which was fine and I appreciated not wanting to talk. She ended up using the hot towels on my back which felt heavenly. I tipped $20 since that was all I had on my, but felt worth it compared to the usual $156 bill at the clinic with no tip. I'll be back and felt fantastic on the walk home and the next day.

This was my third time to the spa and the first time were good. However, today I had a 2nd massage with Linda who works on Wednesday's who I found to be extremely deceptive, dishonest, manipulative, and harmful to any client/visitor. Although during an initial appointment she was nice just to get a repeat client, today she was verbally abusive and demeaning towards me, calling me fat where other massage woman have enjoyed my company and were inviting and cordial to my body who is muscular as well, where I am a very nice guy and tip extremely well everywhere. She left our scheduled appointment in the middle of it since another client that I overheard her negotiating a price with outside of my room door when I could hear them loudly...how unprofessional and vulgur...no class or good business taste. Furthermore, she said she had to run and as a result I would not have to leave a tip where I left her a tip of $100 the last time I was there, but then another girl came and demanded a tip...they were both loud, abusive, and constantly lying about what had occurred, which is certainly not only very bad customer service but demeaning to an individual. I am a highly respected gentleman where no one has ever spoken to me in this matter. As a result, since I have paid with a credit card and did not authorize a tip that they charged my card, I am disputing that charge without having to sue these two ladies at Kawaii Spa them for anguish and malicious behaviour/business practices. Three times I paid for 1 hour and after 45 minutes Amanda told me I'm gone and I was asked to leave. Also, during my time Amanda kept leaving the room to greet other customers. Horrible lady. 2) Lucy is also terrible. I paid for 1 hour. After 20 minutes Lucy said she was very tired and her legs were sore. Lucy did the full time but it was evident she didn't want to be there. If Lucy can't do her job she should not be working there. 3) This place is very dirty. During my time with Betty, there was a bad smell in the room, it smelled like rotton eggs in the room. The smell was so bad I couldn't stay the whole time, I called off the massage. I was in the room with the shower and the shower stall looked like it never been cleaned. Gross. I asked to talk to the owner about my concerns but the owner was too busy taking phone calls and looking after the schedule. I cannot recommend this place, I'm going somewhere else.

You can't miss the tacky neon sign out front giving a good indication if they are open or not. I was welcomed in heartily by a woman named Wiwi. She was very enthusiastic about my options for a massage here, and immediately tried up-selling me with the most expensive option, the 4-Hand Massage. She said "two girls are better than one" and who can argue with that, so I decided to give it a try. Looking at the prices, turns out there isn't any volume advantage with four hands vs. two, so unless you want to spend twice as much, this really doesn't make a lot of sense. Since the cost was so high, I opted for 30 min instead of 60 min. Since that's not a lot of time, and it takes time for me to relax, it didn't seem like much of a value. They can cover you quicker, but since you would get the same coverage in an hour, this would only be an advantage if you were in a hurry. So it could have its place. If you think you've tried everything these spas have to offer give it a shot. And consider checking out other options that look intriguing here, like the sea-salt massage, no idea what that is. According to their business card, they also have sauna and shower services which could round out your visit.

She focused on my problem areas, applied an excellent amount of pressure, checked in a couple of times during the process , and also massaged my temples and scalp a little bit. Personally, I love that attention to detail, because I've learned where my body holds tension and I appreciate it when masseuses can address that properly. My husband had Veraleen and she was great, as well. She applied a good amount of pressure to my husband's trouble spots and he enjoyed the experience. - Service. Overall, they're pretty good. I booked our massages through their website and they responded by calling soon after. They also made certain we each filled our a health survey. My husband forgot to fill his out and their staffer at the front desk ensured he did so before the massage started. - Facilities. Clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The room for the couples massage is a good amount of space and not cramped. There's only one restroom in their facility for the customers. - Location. Pretty good and easy to find. There's also parking nearby, which is helpful, because they're downtown. - Health insurance. My husband and I are tourists, so we paid out of pocket, but it appears they take health insurance, which is great. You can fill out health insurance information when you schedule online and I heard their staffer confirm another couples' insurance, who had just finished and was on their way out when we arrived. What's not - 50 minutes instead of a full hour. I'm bummed their massage doesn't go for the full hour, especially due to the price. - Price. To be fair, they're more reasonable than other massage services, which is why I chose them. As mentioned previously, that it's $129 for less than 1 hour seems a bit high. - Website. By the way, if you book a couples massage, be aware of booking each one separately. The first time I tried it, I double booked for myself. Their website isn't the most straightforward, so be aware of that if you're trying to book for others. - Construction noise. To be fair, they have no control over this. I bring this up so people are aware there is currently construction going on, which adds to the noise. Not pleasant, but it just forced me to focus on Catherine's technique, which was great. Final Answer Would be willing to come back if we ever return to the area and would recommend them to others.
