However, they advised me via their text message system, that they "VERIFIED" my dental insurance and that my Copay was $72 (see pic). This was for x-rays, cleaning, and checkup. After paying the copay, I received an additional unplanned follow up bill because they didn't actually verify the cost with the insurance as their text stated. Because they did actually "verify", I am now out an addition cost (see bill pic). I did speak with the staff, and they reduced it by about $40 however the rest could not be resolved, and I am forced to pay. Had they verified and provided the correct cost initially; I would have selected a different Dentist that was in network. If you want good dental care Signature Family Dental is a great choice, just don't trust what they tell your cost will be because they may change it after the fact. This is my third set of dentures and the first and second set I got were extremely rushed processes. They were ill fitting from day one and I had nothing but problems with them. She spent a lot of time truly listening to my concerns and symptoms. I knew I had an hour and brought a list with me, 3.5 pages long, to save our time she read them and listened as I answered her questions about each one, she did a very thorough exam, pausing to explain what she was going to do next and asking if that was ok (this is huge to me as a SA survivor), she ran not one, not two, but eleven blood tests to truly try to help me, did numerous other tests, referred me to a neurologist, geneticist, cardiologist, and orthopedist who ACTUALLY take my insurance. She gave me real answered and real things to tell each specialist to look for first instead of having to show up and have them guess, one was actually super rare, that no other dr I've seen since in ERs and Urgent cares since have even heard of; I HAVE it!! The only reason I have to take off one star is the receptionist I spoke with on the medical side; she kind of blew me off when I wanted to schedule my next appointment and told me to leave her alone and call back later. I got really sick around that time and couldn't drive back so I lost track for 4 years, but I'm glad that, dr Cuartas, is still here.
