Owner Rick Cooley has been in the piano trade since age 17, working in three shops and a museum before opening his own store. No one in the greater Atlanta area has more experience restoring, rebuilding, and tuning pianos. I take a historic and minimalist approach to restoring a piano, relying on craftsmanship and experience to bring heirloom pianos back to their full usefulness. I restore and rebuild pianos in my own shop myself. Only cabinet refinishing is outsourced, and even there, I personally take care of the dissassembly, reassembly, and hardware restoration. Not a screw is lost!

(A new record!) The nice man working the store was very helpful and was able to talk to me about their current inventory. They didn't have any Gibson guitars or pointy metal guitars, but their Fender and acoustic selection are solid. When I asked about specific products, he offered to call the store owner to haggle (awesome)! I didn't buy anything, we had to head back to downtown Atlanta for Coheed & Cambria, but I would certainly stop back in and/or haggle with them on Reverb. TLDR; looking for a Fender or an acoustic? Stop in.

** This review is just on the WeeJam Music Class for Kids **…read more We just attended our first Wee Jam class and it was so much fun! It is for kids ages 0-5, which at first I was nervous about, but it was fine. Parent involvement is needed, so if you think you are going to go and just watch, you are wrong. The class is on Saturdays before the store opens, and you need to per-register. It is an 8 week class that is about $130 for one kid and $200 for 2. The teacher gets everyone to sing songs, play instruments, and dance. My kids loved the drums and the songs. They made us all have a dance party and my little guy was rocking out to " We will Rock You" by Queen. It is nice that it is not all kiddy songs. They also were showing the kids how to keep a rhythm with drum sticks. I highly recommend this class to anyone with little rock stars!

I needed a hobby to help me break the (sometimes) mind numbing routine of having a 9-5 job. Although I have a very good ear and can sing in tune, I wanted to take lessons mainly to increase my vocal range. I was lucky to be under the tutelage of Carey for over a year and a half. Within that period, I've been able to increase my vocal range and build up a nice repertoire of songs based on my musical interests. Since Carey has a huge database of songs to teach from (over 5000 songs!), we covered a lot of musical theatre, pop, and some jazz. Carey's studio has very calming, comfortable, and nurturing vibe. It's definitely a great environment where you can let your guard down and sing your heart out without feeling embarrassed! The only reason I am not with Carey today is because of financial constraints. Trust me, if the standard of living in New York didn't eat away at my income, I'd still be with Carey today!!
