Backstory: My family (aunt and cousins) go here so I chose to leave my long time dentist because of the distance. Dr.Lee's office is closer and since family goes here I trusted that. 1st time I went they wanted me to come back for scaling, nothing else they could find to fix like fillings or crowns. I did not want to have scaling done so I didn't move forward with that appointment. The next cleaning appointment they kept making comments about me not coming in for that procedure, Which I ignored, the dr also... talked down to me and made me feel like I was a child. I rarely go to the dentist as I'm traumatized and I guess the dental office gives my husband attitude because they can't get me to come in. Still I let it go, my husband gets a shit ton of work done as he never had good insurance until now and has many things to fix. Apparently he rescheduled an appointment and missed it. So fast forward to today: I called to get in for myself, I had some pain and felt a crack on my back tooth with my tongue. I was told by Kathy in her mono tone voice, you have to handle the balance before we can see you. Your husband missed his rescheduled appt. I said I can't really afford to handle that balance now, so I guess if I can't get an appointment I'll have to figure something else out. Kathy: Ok and hangs up. Just wow no regard to the pain im in. Refused to see me as a patient because of a missed appointment balance. So I guess one missed appointment outweighs future business. Im sure I need a new crown or some expensive work done which would have paid them way more than $130 but ok lady. So now they will lose 2 patient with good insurance because we wouldn't pay for a missed appointment ($130) right then and there. Really seems like they don't care too much about losing patients and do not value your business so I recommend to not come here. I must say, I honestly thought I had the amazing experience with this place. My fiance and I was looking for a new dentist and recommended by a friend to Ronald Lee. I called to verified if they accepted Delta Dental California and the receptionist indicated that they accept PPO and Premier Provider. We booked our appointment with them and scheduled our appointment. The reception who scheduled our future appointments even said our plan covers the examination and xray and so forth. They will bill Detal Dental. During our visit or prior to our visit they failed to indicate that they were only a Premier provided charning at the Premier price. If we knew we wouldn't have gone with them. My finance is part of the PPO plan. We were suprise in receivivng the bill. I called Ronald Lee office and they blamed everything on us for not knowing and should have known that they were a Premier Provider only. They called Delta Dental to verifeid the information. They should have known my finance was under the PPO plan and he would be getting a bill for the difference but failed to let us know. They failed to tell us they were a Premier provider only charging at the Premier price. They keep saying our plan covers it and there is no additioanl fee or bill. The receptionisht was pretty rude and didn't want to explain anything except saying the fact that it was our fault to begin with to go with them and not knowing they are a Premier. She even say okay we will just delete your future appointments and we can go elsewhere. I was pretty upset. Ronald Lee was pretty thorough about explaining the xrays; however the admininstrative part of the business isn't that great at all. They had us fooled in beleiving that they were a PPO provider. Best Dentist In Natomas. Dr Lee and his staff are friendly. Very clean and modern office.

My previous dentist told me, my wife, and everyone I know who went there we needed a $400 night guard to prevent us from grinding our teeth. The ones that the dentist makes a $300 profit on. Later, my wife was told she needed 6 cavities filled. That was when we switch to Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee said we do not need night guards and my wife did not need any cavities filled, though there were 2 spots he was going to watch. That was many years ago. We have been extremely happy ever since. Dr. Lee goes above and beyond. I have never had a dentist truly care so much about my teeth, and do such a fantastic job as a dentist. The staff are as friendly as can be, and the facilities are state of the art. There are all kinds of cool cameras, digital x-rays, and TV's with headphones for those people or kids who prefer distraction while having their teeth cleaned. When my daughter had her tooth chipped at High School (inadvertently by an otherwise dear friend) this Dental Office was tops. She was repaired within hours. Actually, since her baby teeth arrived she has been seen by Dr. Lee and his super friendly office. Now when she comes home from College they even find time for her on short notice. I had been going to Dr. Ronald C. Lee for a while and it was time for a check up. I had just had surgery on my foot and it was very difficult for me to walk, On the day of my appointment I parked right at the front door and I was about 15 minutes early for my appointment. I walked to the door, but it was locked. I could see his staff inside so I knocked, but the looked at me and laughed. I hobbled around on crutches to the other side of the building where I could see the staff closer and I knocked again, but they pointed at me and continued laughing. Finally they unlocked the first door I had gone to so I hobbled back around and went inside. I asked them why they had the doors locked and were laughing at me, but they ignored me. I told Dr. Lee what happened, but his comment was "OH WELL". I am a senior citizen and have had trouble getting around before my surgery which made the situation even worse. I WILL NEVER GO TO DR. I used to live in Natomas about 10 yrs ago and my wife and I both regular were patients of Dr. Lee. We are now back in the area and to my surprise I called his office to schedule an appt and they refused us as patients. What? He doesn't need any business? When pressed, his office claimed that we had a "balance" due. I told her that was impossible b/c we have insurance and then she informed me that it was some type of fee for a missed appt. Really? This is the first I have heard about this balance or getting notice of it yet she claims she sent me to a collection agency for it. Nice way to do business! read more

I am 51 and Dr Lee has been my Dentist for just over 25 years. He also treated my daughters. I have big, solid chompers (nearly all my own) thanks to regular dental cleaning/care from this office. Over the years I've also had fillings, crowns and two lower bridges. I have always been impressed by the quality of his work. When he fills teeth and performs procedures, they are pretty much set for decades (or life). I have no idea how other people deal with crowns, fillings or bridges that come loose after 5-10 years. I've NEVER had that problem due to the quality of Dr. Lee's work. I have had to have his work removed due to decay (and that is all on me!). My husband and I send people to Dr Lee all the time. I don't know if he is as much of a jokester with them as he is with us, but the fun chair-side manner is a big plus. read more

In 10 years I have been treated with the utmost respect by everyone in his office. They told me I had gaps measuring 7 and 8s and that I would need about $3000 worth of dental work! I went to dr lees for a second opinion and he gave me the honest truth. 3s and 4s! As a person who has had to have major dental work thru out my life I thought I died and went to heaven when I met Dr Lee. Kind, funny, meticulous, skilled, professional and the best dentist I have ever met. he does everything in house. He makes his own crowns and other things instead of sending them out to a lab. Dr. Lee was my dentist for 23 years. In all that time he didn't find "things" that I needed to have done to my teeth. He did x rays and cleanings, and after 22 years I actually had a cavity that needed to be filled. He had been keeping an eye on that tooth for about 5 years before he decided it needed to be filled. He's a real pro who truly cares about the health of his patients more than getting their money. I no longer live in Sacramento, and I'm hoping my new dentist in Lodi is nearly as good as Dr. Lee. I've had the distinct pleasure (no really!!) of being in Dr Lee's chair where he has performed some long and very delicate work on my teeth. As a rugby l player I suffered some damage that required quite a few extractions and reconstruction. Requiring to travel long distance to see Dr Lee he graciously made time after hours to squeeze what would have been several appointments into one long appointment. After a marathon appointment my recovery was relatively quick and painless...I was even able to fly back that same day , which speaks volumes about De Lee's special skills. While I realize the length of my appointment was an exception there is no doubt about the genuine care Dr Lee takes in his work and the pride in his practice. These attributes are clearly evident and reflected in his diligent demeanor, his efficient staff beside him and his impeccably well kept offices. What can I say, after years and years of neglect i had an infection and several teeth that had to be removed. I was referred to Dr. Lee by a mutual friend who works in the dental field. I like many people had a bad experience long ago and just never went back. Well in the long run not a good manuver as my dental health suffered and now I am paying the price. Long story short somehow Dr. Lee fit me in his busy schedule the same day (I was in much pain) .. he saw me on short notice as it was and then we had to arrange to extract several teeth .. he did it the first thing in the morning next day (today) ... his staff was fantastic ..the office immaculately clean ... he laid out the plans for the procedures and how we would proceed .. we got to work bright and early and i felt NOTHING while he did a lot of work! After a few hours in his office I am now on the way to some recovery and then back to the office to have him make me some teeth ... I owe my friend for the fantastic referral ..sometimes things really do happen for a reason.... great job to Dr. Lee and his staff! I can honestly say I cant wait to go back! read more

This Guy is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I went to him 10 years ago when I was new in town for a cracked molar when he was on Truxel, next to Ross. The staff and he were rough and he was so condescending that I never went back. They ran up a large bill performing a comprehensive exam of my entire mouth instead of focusing on why I came in, (a broken tooth). My Current Dentist is too far away from my home and office, so I got a referral from my Periodontist for a cleaning closer to home. I told my Periodontist that I wanted someone in North Natomas as long as it wasn't a Dentist I went to years ago on Truxel, near Ross, (I did not remember Lee's name at the time) . I was referred to Lee on Del Paso. I went in for my appointment today, and It turns out to be the same Dentist as Truxel but in a different location. I decided to give the office a second chance since I was already there and he was referred by my Periodontist. Mary was very nice at the front desk and the Dental Assistant was very nice and gentle too. The Hygienist, who did not introduce herself, probed my gums. She was not friendly and even appeared a bit "cool" with me. Ronald Lee had not changed a bit. He still appears to have an exaggerated sense of self esteem. When He came into the exam room, he immediately started lecturing me for not seeing a Dentist for 10 years. When I told him that I was getting treatment, Lee looked at my chart and said "You haven't been here since 2007!" I repeated that I was seeing another Dentist. Then I explained to him that I didn't come back in 2007 because I honestly felt his office was a little rough with me. Lee said to me: "I have a hard time believing that" and continued talking to me as if I was making up nonsense. I stood up and said I was leaving. He said "good" and heckled me as I walked towards the door. Once again, I was traumatized by this dentist and his over inflated ego. Dr. Lee and his staff are truly amazing! Dr. Lee came in on a Saturday afternoon and brought the Oral Surgeon I needed to help with a broken jaw. After sitting in an ER for over 18 hours with no medical help for my condition, Dr. Lee and Dr. Heir (oral surgeon) were able to help me. They both did an amazing job and to look at me today, you would not know I ever had such trauma to my mouth. The level of follow up care that Dr. Lee and his staff provided for the eight weeks following my injury was above and beyond...they really do everything they can to help their patients. read more

I have had three visits with Dr. Lee. The first time was a pleasant experience for a front crown filling. The second and third time weren't so pleasant to say the least. For my second visit I was told BEFORE hand that my deep clean would cost me out of pocket $240, which I paid at that time. I then received a outstanding bill for $15.50 for the deep clean. This was never disclosed to me that the pricing I received was just an estimate and not the actual cost until I inquired about the outstanding bill (I have Delta insurance). The third experience was today 1-25-18. I was called on 1-24-18 for a reminder on my ROUTINE cleaning. When I went in today I was never informed that this was NOT considered a Routine cleaning, over the phone or in person, and that I would be having to cover 40% of my cleaning. I have always known BEFORE any procedures at other dentists on how much I would owe or at least informed that this is not considered a ROUTINE cleaning. When I inquired about the charges at the front desk, the lady informed me that it is not all her fault since I should know what my policy covers! How am I supposed to know that this is NOT considered a ROUTINE cleaning? I will not likely return to this dentist and will definitely tell people including Yelp and Nextdoor NOT to go to this dentist due to the above problem I had today. read more

I have been seeing this dentist for years and while he knows his job, watch out for his office staff. They will misquote estimates way beyond what is reasonable. This turns into a problem if you are paying out of pocket for services insurance does not cover or if you have exceeded your limit. They have done this twice to me this year. The first time,the staff member had the nerve to say that she may have quoted the price I remembered but it didn't matter, it was my responsibility. Which of course, I understand that. I am not trying to get out of paying, but hey, wouldn't you want an accurate estimate or at least very close to an estimate. This last time, the staff had the decency to be a little embarassed but stated it was my responsibility to talk to my insurance which was an idiotic statement since it had been determined that the visit in question was totally going to have to be paid by me. When I asked her how she would feel if she took her car to a mechanic and was told it was going to be a certain amount that turned out twice as much, then how would she feel. She shut up. My point is this, watch out for the staff, get it in writing, and don't let them push you into paying more than you can afford. My husband says we should switch, remember this dentist is not the only fish in the sea. His office staff is a good example of how dentists can lose business. read more
