The second time, I was getting a few things, and decided to get some paint while I was there, because I had a pretty good idea of the color I wanted. I waited and waited. Some guy who worked there walked past, and I asked him if there was anybody working paint. "I don't know," he said and kept walking. I saw him go by again and asked him if he could find someone to help me. He said he would. I continued to wait, and no one showed up. Finally, I got disgusted and left. I really wanted to give my business to the little guy, and I liked the fact that they give you Aeromiles, but that was ridiculous. You want my business, you need to earn it. They certainly don't act like they give a s*** here.

I went in for the first time early March (2013) to get a print framed for a donation item for a silent auction and brought in personal items for the house. They spent the time helping me find a frame that would accent the red in the photo (it was taken in Africa) and also helped pick a great mat for it.--which I recently found out they upgraded to museum to really help elevate the photo! I brought in 4 other canvas paintings to get stretched and framed. And after much discussion and playing around, they really helped me come up with the best options for the pieces and didn't pressure me at all. I ended up getting one stretched on canvas and the other 3 mounted on foam core and framed (best decision ever for these 3). They really did take the time to make sure I was happy with my decision! And another thing, I brought in a very sentimental piece from my trip and it was probably the most difficult to pick a frame for but they still pulled as much as possible and helped me come up with a decision that I was very very happy with (I swear it was at least an hour!). I have to say, these guys really do understand the art of framing! I went to go pick it up and was floored by how beautiful it turned out! I loved it and would recommend taking the time to let them figure out what you like and go from there. If you go in with an idea, they really can run with it and their selection is so vast that you really can trust their recommendations and simple tweaks. Truly, the art of framing is mastered here!

It's so much cheaper than anywhere in the city, but it's a long way to drive. Convenient location is why I chose Mill Creek. I have only seen women working in this shop. I'm very impressed. The Baseline Rona told me they had to figure how to make it work but would serve me. I got the issue resolved and they were happy to do it. Customer loyalty is understood at this store! Staff are usually very friendly and helpful. Some don't always know the answer but the ones I've met haven't faked their way through it. I wish they carried a bit more stock like the other Rona but they almost always have what I need. The store is relatively well organized. I've found the cashiers to be friendly and the lumber yard guys to be great too. My kids love the popcorn, which makes it easier for me to run around to pick up what I need. It's also usually not very busy and when it is they get another cashier on the till.

Now, maybe that's a good thing and they're busy but waiting 15 minutes (literally) at the customer service counter is a bit brutal with young children in tow. That being said, it's small and I can get what I need often quicker than Home Depot (if I know where to get what I'm looking for) and you can always call ahead of time to check and see if they have what you need. My secret buy at Rona - Wood Stove Pellets for kitty kat litter boxes. Yep, it is literally the EXACT SAME product that you can pay $20-$25 a bag for at Petsmart (40 pound bag) and here you will pay about $6 a bag. And they carry it year round - in the winter it's out front but in the summer you have to go to the customer service desk and pay for it there and they give you a slip that you drive around back with to the lumber yard and they'll load it in your vehicle.

We hadn't really considered this store as an alternative to your average big box hardware store, but it really is! They have so many things! There is camping hunting and all the stuff for growing your own food. It's amazing. Plus, propane tank swap program so you can get it all here. Bike racks if you have that locomotion. For accessibility, the aisles are a bit tight, two wheelchairs won't pass but otherwise the store is fair for accessibility. Wide spots for a ramp, easy curb access to the door. I did not evaluate the washroom facilities but will update when I do. The only reason I can't give them five stars as the online shopping is a bit challenging. Search is... a wrestling match to find something you were JUST looking at sometimes. Public washrooms and fitting rooms to try on the clothes... and sizes for curvy girls!! Did I mention there's even an EV Charging and parking spot?! Has become our go-to for most hardware and garden items!

There are a few things at 30% which may be okay deals. Things at 10% off you can probably find better deals elsewhere.
