I had started this process at the beginning of the year and had very few issues until late February when it suddenly felt like the wheels had come off and I began to experience an immense amount of physical and emotional discomfort. I honestly did not know what to expect with Rob but, after meeting the first time, I found that he was not only extremely knowledgeable in a lot of areas, but that we were also very much in alignment about our approach to health - specifically, the need to heal through natural means. Even so, I was not prepared for the level of success that followed. He assured me that most of the withdrawal symptoms I was experiencing could be reduced or eliminated with some simple cardio activity 15 minutes per day. This was a bit difficult at first but the results were immediate. After a week or so, I actually looked forward to it because I was feeling so good, my energies levels were up, and I was beginning to look much healthier than I had in a long time. Our subsequent sessions focused on other areas - sleeping habits, meditation, eating, even socializing - all of which were extremely helpful in supporting my body and mind as they realigned and adjusted to my new regimes. One of my biggest surprises, since I hadn't even set out to do this, was my weight loss and elimination of joint pain and muscle fatigue, apparently as the result of following his recommendation to go gluten free. I had already lost about 8 lbs since the first of the year (I started the year around 220 lbs) but, upon going gluten free, the extra pounds just rolled off of me. By late May, I was down to 185 and suddenly felt like I had the energy I had at 30 - and NO JOINT PAIN whatsoever. I could do heavy yard work all weekend and feel only mild muscle pain the next day! FYI, I'm now at 175, my "ideal weight" according to the medical charts. Rob has an amazing amount of knowledge - far beyond just physical therapy - and he has had life experiences that demonstrate the effectiveness of these concepts. His wealth of knowledge makes him an amazing resource and very enjoyable to talk to. I highly recommend Healix Therapy to anyone who feels they are not as healthy and happy as they would like to be.

I've been seeing her now for 3 months. She is helping me to prevent a second surgery for carpal tunnel. I also have severe shoulder pain. Everytime I leave I have complete relief. She runs her own office... So, there aren't any other therapists there. What I love is that she works with you and makes you feel like you're really getting the care you need. SOAR started a punitive and expensive attendance policy where you are financially penalized for…read morecanceling with less than 24 hour notice. The penalty increases with each subsequent less than 24 hour cancellation. They seem to expect that you should know the day before if you would wake up the following morning feeling ill. So you would either place their staff at risk by showing up with the flu or pay a $50 or higher penalty. Yesterday was the last straw. Someone abandoned a large dog in my fenced yard. I called SOAR to tell them I might be unable to make my appointment, because I didn't know when Animal Control would arrive to pick the dog up. The dog was too large and unfriendly for me to safelyapproach it in my yard. If I opened the gate to my yard and just let him out, the dog could be hit by a car on my busy street. After I explained this situation, the typically rude receptionist, Susie, smugly said I would just have to pay the penalty if I didn't make the appointment. Animal Control did come and I was able to make the appointment. I spoke to the office manager about Susie's continuing rude behavior and the rigidity of their new attendance policy. Her response suggested that this was my problem, so I cancelled the rest of my appointments. This was unfortunate, because I really did like the Physical Therapist, Kirsten.

Weekly, I was scheduled visiting Dr. Palmer from 2019 until, winter 2021 which is a long, long time, indeed, receiving chiropractic treatments. Amazingly, each scheduled visit receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Palmer, I received chiropractic treatments for my severe, left knee injury and pain management which offered temporary, pain relief lasting one week until, my next scheduled visit. To date, I'm praying VA Mather Hospital will assign future chiropractic appointments with Dr. Palmer soon.
