BLUF: they quoted me to remove my existing entrance door and install a new one. sent me a quote for…read morematerials and labor which i accepted (i have all records of communication). After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. Being a single woman owner of a older home with a lot of needs, I was fortunate to come across Phil. After having my home leveled I needed my back door (to the backyard) re-aligned/re-framed and decided to install a storm door. I turned to Yelp and saw Phil as the reigning expert on door repairs. I called him to try to set something up and of course he was booked but being already in my neighborhood he said he'd stop by to at least check it out. Phil came by within 15 minutes and assessed the door. He knew exactly what to do so it was easy (in theory bc Bubba aka my house has nothing easy about him) and probably after feeling so bad for me he decided to squeeze my job in. **I will say with Phil you need to be patient because he's a person with a life and has other things going on so be open to waiting a bit. If you aren't patient and want a hurry and rush job don't contact Phil- he's not for you and he doesn't deserve to be treated badly.** Ok so, Phil finally scheduled me and secured an assistant (this was a 2 person job). They took a few days to do the framing and install of my storm door. He encountered some extra work that needed to be done because it wasn't done correctly before. I appreciate that he did the job that needed to be done and did not skimp me. As a single woman I felt safe and confide t with Phil. I'm happy with the job and am so excited to be able to use my back door again and to have a storm door. I have 2 cats that love the door which has a pet door for them to come in and out as they please.

He was able to start right away and had a bid for me very quickly for a lot of different projects. He removed one wall entirely for me, shortened another wall, widened a doorway to 7 feet, set 4 cabinets to make an island, repaired the sheet rock in my ceiling and leveled the floor in our converted garage. I basically have an entirely new house because of Gary's amazing work! His bid was very fair and better than any of the larger construction companies that I spoke with. He was also able to start quickly and finished my project in 2 weeks. The work is gorgeous and I could not be any more proud of our house. He is very honest and will help you figure out the best way to make your ideas work within your budget and the quality of his work is unquestionable. Gary was great to deal with and very respectful of our furniture and the rest of the house that was not being remodeled. He and his crew were very helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. I would hire them for any future projects without a second thought. In the middle of our remodel our entire house flooded and Gary came back after they were through for the day and helped us get things off the floor, etc. He brought additional help the next day and spent the day cleaning the disaster that the flood had made of our house. Because of Gary and his crew, our entire project ended within the scheduled time and the flood did not set things back more than a day. He also saved us from a substantial amount of water damage and other issues. I truly cannot stress enough the quality of work Gary does, he completely transformed my house for a price I was able to afford and did so in a timely and efficient manner. He was completely willing to help with issues that came up and his attention to detail is amazing. If you are remodeling this is definitely the guy to hire!

The job was going to involve both plumbing and carpentry, and Gary made it clear that he and his crew could do it all, and they did. I am very pleased with not only their excellent work, but they are good people to invite into your home to perform their professional work. Gary has a unique ability of aesthetics - I had a simple idea, but he made me see that it would look better if he could do a slight variation of my initial concept. I feel that I have a new bathroom! I have invited Gary back to do another job, this time it involves masonry in my backyard, and again Gary made me see that my idea would be better if he could tweak it. And so Gary has tweaked it, and it indeed looks better. You won't go wrong getting Gary to do your work. Plus he and his crew are nice and respectful.

I have a 10 year old house(just built) so when you come and fix something I would assume you attach and fix everything properly. It appears the several trips to home depot were to continue to find ways to jimmy rig this project and the quick fail time shows.

Our job was for a vaulted ceiling fan installation and to repair cracked and molding caulk around…read morethe tubs. I removed the existing caulk from the bathrooms myself to save money but I still felt the price was extremely high for a fan install and a finger swipe over silicone (that's all they did). They didn't remove the kitchen silicone (which we agreed on) and didn't clean it before putting a thin layer on top. After it cracked overnight I had him come back out to redo the entire thing. So, if you care about finesse and visual consistency, look elsewhere.
