Although some of Dr. Dever's methods may initially seem unconventional or alternative in nature, I can firmly say that my experience was extremely positive. He was caring, kind, empathetic, attentive, and completely professional throughout my appointment. I am a highly data-driven and logical person. I have struggled with severe shoulder, scapular, upper-back, and neck pain for many years, yet no healthcare professional has been able to clearly identify or successfully treat the underlying problem. I have been offered neck surgery, injections, pain medication, infusions, physical therapy, and other chiropractic treatments, but nothing has provided meaningful or lasting relief. When I left Dr. Dever's office today, I felt a lightness in my spirit and a profound sense of relaxation moving through my shoulders and upper back. Most importantly, for the first time in years, I was not experiencing significant pain. I will absolutely continue making the drive from the Phoenix Valley to Tucson to receive further treatment from Dr. Dever. I also noticed a highly negative review online. I cannot speak to another person's motivations, but the accusations in that review bear no resemblance whatsoever to the doctor I met or the treatment I received. In my experience, Dr. Dever was appropriate, respectful, compassionate, ethical, and an upstanding professional. I recommend him without hesitation.

Be wary taking your children here or going in as a young woman. The chiropractor, Dr. Dever is…read moretouchier than I believe to be appropriate; he'll make it sound like it's part of the medical practice but if it feels off to you, it's probably because it is. I will not be making any heavy claims, but again just go in at your own risk, be wary and watch out for anything that seems suspicious, and if you're a parent don't send your child in alone.

Just had my fourth experience with Vitality. I had left previously after being ignored by empoyees…read moremore interested in talking than working and wouldn't have considered them again, but my medical provider sent my referral order to them. I was happy for 6 treatments, then I wasn't! This time most of my treatments were 63 minutes with 10 minutes of it rest time. I would get 5 to 7 different treatments (depending on how busy they were, or the time needed on each). My last session, I did 4 treatments in one hour, most of it waiting around for my technician, or equipment. I had another appointment, so I told them I had to leave. Next visit I asked to speak with Dr. Steve and he took me aside when I got there. Before I finished my first sentence he said "then you can leave, it doesn't matter to me". We had a talk for 10 minutes. His attitude was that it was all my fault, I wasn't patient enough, I shouldn't look around me during my rest periods, I was totally at fault for being unhappy with having to give priority to other patients. He took no responsibility for overscheduling, not managing his technicians timing. He said I didn't know which patient was in line before me (well, he didn't know either, and didn't bother to check). His attitude was, narcissistic, adversarial, impatient, not once apologetic. He kept mentioning his Christianity (as if I am not) and how it made him such a good person (as if I am not). He was so holier than thou he had no understanding/compassion or encouragement to give him a second chance. Not a very Christian attitude at all. There are so many better facilities, such as ATI and Progressive in Green Valley. If you have a choice and are a senior, don't go to vitality. They seem to prefer younger vibrant customers with "real" injuries, not old age afflictions.
