Typical Hudson River taxi problems include but are not limited to, rude drivers, 30 min delays in pick up and arrival times, change received in quarters, rude dispatch and to top it off reckless driving. This cab company operates under their own guidelines with no regard to the paying costumer. Not all experiences will be bad because they have amazing drivers such as Matilda. But there is one specific driver that needs not to be left out. Bald, muscles, clean shaved and probably small dick. He is the ABSOLUTE WORST AND I WILL LET HIS ACTIONS SPEAK FOR HIMSELF

I had to ask him to put his phone down that I was not comfortable with him on his phone and instead of apologizing said, well I'm at a red light and laughed. I shouldn't have called for the next trip but was in a pinch so we hired again. This time he was driving my family (Two adults and TWO CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS), and WAS READING AND RESPONDING TO TEXTS while on the HIGHWAY and ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR! I gasped and said you need to stop texting, my family is in the car, these are my children. His response was unapologetic and said well he needs to speak with his other driver who needs him. I said if you need to do that then you need to pull over. Instead of waiting to address his driver, he literally pulled off on the side of the highway with my family in the car to respond to a text. Super unprofessional. On top of this, when we arrived to my home he said I owed him more than what was quoted. No apology for the texting and almost hitting another car, then asks for more than the agreed amount? Will not use this company again.

There is a severe shortage of reliable taxi service in our community - check the reviews and you…read morewill see what I mean - the best is two stars. As the cab service I usually used (Hudson River taxi) has had their phone line disconnected (I assume they are out of business), I called the best rated an hour ahead of pickup time for a Peekskill train run. No cab at the time requested, so a call into the office got an "on his way, will be there in two minutes" response. Seven minutes later, the next call got a "he's by the hospital" response. Seven minutes after that (the hospital is less than 1.2 miles from my front door) we had to rely on a neighbor for a frantic run to the train. Do NOT use this service if you have a need to get honest or reliable service!

There are many times where I miss my train and am REALLY late to work. After calling three other cab companies to be denied a ride to the Peekskill Metro North station during peak commuting hours, I called Radio Taxi. The dispatcher told me that the drivers were extremely busy, but they could get a cab to me in 10 to 15 minutes. It was probably more like 17 minutes, but my driver showed up in a very new, modern, and clean SUV taxi. After using various Hudson Valley cab companies where the cars are in terrible shape and the interiors are filthy, it was very nice to be in a well-maintained car. The driver did not operate the vehicle like something out of Grand Theft Auto (which has also happened to me) and obeyed all traffic laws (I'm not asking for very much, am I?). Granted I called approximately 45 minutes before the train was due to arrive because of horrible experience with cabs in the past, but I arrived to the station with time to spare. Because of some of the awful experiences I have had of late, Radio Taxi may be one of the first companies I'll call from now on.
