Just for fun I opened up the Uber app and the same trip costed $5.45. I know Uber prices go up and down so YMMV. When I called him he gave some BS about leaving Peekskill coming to me house then driving to RTE 202 Crompond Rd and having to cross back into Peekskill. I then called the Peekskill PD to find out if this was legal. It turns out that once a taxe registered in Peekskill leaves Peekskill they are free to charge whatever they want. Just warning you especially if you live outside Peekskill.
