The kitchen has a broken cabinet with old trash masks in it. Some of the chairs in the viewing area were dirty

Kristen had excellent communication skills and made sure I understood everything that would take place upon my family member passing. Kristen always answered all calls and emails promptly. Sad to say my loved one passed this past Sept. I was then assigned to work with Andrew and McKenna(sp). Andrew was AMAZING ! Even during this stressful time he made sure all of my request were completed. He went above and beyond in all aspects of planning the service, and setting up the day of the service. There were several times I would focus on what he was doing and he was meticulous again in paying attention to small details making sure things were perfect ! Andrew truly made this day smooth and let me to truly focus on the moment and nothing else... Everything was as perfect as it could be ! I'm truly happy that when my time comes that my family will be treated with utmost respect and have full confidence that all request will be met without stress beyond the normal, under those circumstances. If I could give this location 10 stars I would in a heartbeat !! **********

The family is allowed to add a unique touch to the services to honor their loved one. They have a garden cementary , on grounds and it is beautiful. I have attended both indoor and outdoor services and was impressed by both.

Overall I appreciate their efforts but there were a few major issues that raised concerns…read more 1. Miss Gina has her daughter making the obituaries and when I was directed to her to make design changes, the daughter was not very accommodating or understanding. She came off as irritated by my request and did not put any effort to assist me with my concerns which resulted in me creating my dad's obituaries from scratch myself. The design she came up with seemed really last minute thrown together because she uses Microsoft Word to design which throws off the entire appearance. Despite this frustrating process, and interaction, I will say, Miss Gina assisted me with cutting down the cost of printing my own obituaries, which I was extremely thankful for. 2. Unfortunately they lack follow through. I reached out to her September 12 to check the status of my dad's certified death certificates and she responded that it was still pending at that time. She said that she would reach back out to me but never did. I reached back out to her on September 21st and she completely forgot to look into my dad's death certificates. I reached out to her again the following Monday and apparently the vital records office was not open. I reached out Tuesday, September 29 to the city examiner's office and they informed me that his certificates had been ready since September 9th. Even after discovering this on the 29th, it wasn't until After 2 o'clock in the afternoon that I called her after waiting to see if she was going to contact me that she finally said that she had the certificates and I could come pick them up. This delay has been detrimental because I needed these documents in order to get access to my dad's apartment and it's severely prolonged the process of closing out all of his final affairs. 3. My dad was never added to their website obituary announcements, which was a part of the any basic service at any funeral home. I ended up creating my own announcement in Canva similarly to how I made my own obituaries and sent it out to family and friends. Again, overall, Miss Gina and her team at the Home were supportive during my grief, but they could use some tightening up and improved professionalism. I wasn't sure if the unprofessionalism was because they knew me as a family friend, but if I were an outside patron, I would not be pleased with their service.

It took the cemetary over NINE months to get my dad's small, simple memorial stone placed, and when it was finally set up, it was not aligned properly with my mom's headstone. It was set sloppily off to one side. Further, our mom's headstone lettering faded terribly after just a year, so that you can't even read most of the words on it now. When I brought this up to Tim, he gave me the name of a company that does headstone lettering. When I shared that we should not have to pay to have the lettering re-done after just a year, my emails were ignored. Further, the people at the cemetery do not respond to emails or calls in a timely manner. I usually have to call multiple times to get a response. My parents' memorial stones look terrible and I couldn't be more disappointed with this place.

However, my son's ex wife Joelle manipulated my son's oldest kids which are legally next of kin NOT to bury our son David on the day of the funeral burial despite the fact that we had already paid for the memorial service with Romero funeral home and to "St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora, CO" - we used the credit cards to pay for everything which came out to be $13,000! Because we got stabbed in the backed by my son's ex wife and oldest grandchildren, and no fault of our own, we ended up owing the St. Simeon Catholic cemetary $2,420 for "opening and closing grave and vault" - This catholic cemetery, St. Simeon in Aurora was notified on 26 July 2023 by the legal next of kin, the two oldest kid of our son David that they are joining to burn/cremate my son instead! It is now 12 September and the Catholic St. Simeon cemetery in Aurora still owes us $4,569.13!!!!! Each time we call about the refund check, we are getting the same story "that the refund of $4,569.13 is being processed and we will receive a check" - we are being charged interest on the credit card and it seems this Catholic St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado is jerking us around and it is going on two month now and so far has not refunded the amounted they admitted they owe in the amount of $4569.13! If you plan on burying a loved one that this cemetery, make 100% sure that nobody in the family can call off the burial - otherwise you will be waiting for your refund from the Catholic St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora forever!

I will tell you my story and how I came to know about Be a Tree Cremation. My son passed away…read moreunexpectedly on 9.16.21, 12 days before his 32nd birthday, we were making plans to celebrate him, we had just talked on the phone the day before and texted before he went to bed. I will never forget the call, my life changed forever, he was my only child. I would have never thought that my healthy 31 year old son would go before me, go to sleep and never wake up. I never thought I would be seeking any type of burial services for my 31 year or old son, never thought about pre-planning for myself, just never thought about any funeral planning at all and had not talked to my son about any of this, why would I, he was young, healthy, active, outdoorsy and full of life! What I did know was that he would not want to be buried, that he loved the environment and would do anything to save it. My son loved the outdoors, nature, hiking, rock climbing, camping, white water canoeing, ice climbing and nature in general and he loved Colorado and all of its beauty. When I learned of water cremation and Be a Tree and it's founder Emily Nelson and what Be a Tree stood for, no carcinogens to pollute our air like a traditional fire cremation, I knew my son would approve. Emily and her staff at Be a Tree, were so helpful to my family, they were patient, they helped guide us, helped set up a small visitation prior to cremation, worked with us on the ceremony, my sons Celebration of Life, gave us some ideas for a venue and a Celebrant, they held our hand during the worse time of our lives. My family and I also got to know Half Moon Farm in Lakewood, after the water cremation, the liquid byproduct of water cremation is a nontoxic solution of amino acids, peptides, sugars, and soap, which makes a wonderful fertilizer that Be a Tree calls "Tree Tea", families may take some Tree Tea home to water trees and plants in their personal garden or donate to Half Moon Farm to be used on flowers and other non-edible plants; this is the option I chose. For this reason Half Moon Farm will always be a special place for me to go as well. We had some really nice bouquets of fresh cut flowers from Half Moon Farm at my sons service, they were absolutely beautiful. I will never forget the kindness that Emily and her staff showed to my son and my family; they took broken people and lifted us up with love and light and helped us navigate the darkness of death. Special shout out to Emily, Sheree and our Celebrant Erin, with love always
