I had an appointment for a diabetes follow up. I called the office to confirm a lab work order. The receptionist refused to check on this. Said if they want blood work it would be ordered at time of visit. Diabetes can not be assessed by just looking at me. Dr Taylor is the best doctor in the city of Rome. My whole family goes to her I would not have it any other way, even if I live in utica and she's in Rome. I have nothing but good things to say about Rome medical group from check in to check out you are treated with respect and empathy for your medical concerns. If I could give this group zero stars, I would. I've been a part of this medical group since I was a child and it's gone down hill IMMENSELY. I'm 30 now and am, unfortunately, experiencing quite a few medical difficulties. My "doctor" (who is actually a NP) recently completed my "physical" over the phone. I don't understand how that works. She also refuses to call me back when requested and doesn't take my concerns into consideration. If I want medical attention, I'm forced to pay to go to the emergency room or go to WellNow where EVERYONE is going to get tested for COVID. I'm considering looking for a new PCP. read more

I have never been so poorly informed and handled by a Dr. in my life. Communications are passive and then none. If you simply exercise your self-advocacy to get good health care your treated as a shutout. And that's what they want for you to simply leave! I used to love that office and my doctor. I was so happy to be a patient there knowing how hard it is to get in there or even find a doctor at all. But that place has change so much over the years. I feel like people would pay attention and remember me more at the hospital. My doctor left there almost a year ago and now I have just started seeing a new doctor there and she wants to change my treatment. The treatment that I have been on for 3+ years. My doctor a man who has known and treated me for years put me on this treatment and seen how far I came and how much it helped me. Now With out knowing me or even meeting me more than once and just going off my chart. She wants to change everything and jeopardize my life. Shouldn't a normal doctor get to know you. Now she had the receptionist call me with lies saying she told me to start seeing a therapist a year ago which is funny because I only seen this lady once less than a month ago. Mabey to cover her ass. But luckily I'm smart and keep all my paperwork. read more
